I detest it when someone says it's "muggy" outside. I dont know why, but that really pisses me off.

    THIS^

I don't know why, but I absolutely hate when people say this. Every time someone says "I could care less..." I respond with "So then care less." It confuses them and probably makes them mad, but they need to know they're saying the opposite of what they mean. Maybe I'm a jerk for pointing it out, maybe I'm not. But at least I'm correct. :D

I just thought of another one that bothers me. It seems that very few people know when to use the word "less" and when to use the word "fewer." They're not interchangeable. I know its a little on the anal retentive side to be bothered when someone says "less" when they should say "fewer," but I can't get over it.

Yeah, I have a staff member that says that - she hasn't a clue.

The ones that get me is when commercials say something like "use four times less...." . It should be use "one quarter as much" or "use one-fourth as much". I don't know if it's technically incorrect, but it just sounds wrong to me.

The last phrase that annoyed the hell out of me was, "and then", mostly said as an annoyance while you're speaking. Probably just a local thing, local idiots came up with it I imagine.
    And then?
