    exactly I was actually happy, thought for sure I would be paying 2000 in gas

    nice thats the way to do it... when I was behind tractor trailers I couldn't get in the slipstream because of the rtt, it kept throwing me in this violent shaking motion it SUCKED

    not including wheeling, I am looking at 3,000 miles. At an average of `15 mpg, I figure it'll cost about $800 at $4/gal. At 20 mpg, it comes down to $600. I think your original estimate is fairly accurate.

    Not many choice really in wy for getting from one point to the other. Not where we will be. Too many mountain ranges. Gotta stick to a lot of the paved stuff. Then we have to cover so much ground to get to CO in time will be all hwy too. But lucky for use the road are all 2 lane and they aren't bad roads. The southern wy road are pretty baren :eek: but gets better.

    We also just don't hae a ton of time to play on back routes :pout:

    At least the view should be nice... I know how you feel, there is never enough time. I wish we could have stopped in Arizona on the way to Moab but time wasn't on our side. I really wanted to see the Grand Canyon :(

    Yea mostly 2 lanes. 65moh speed limit. Wy will be...sorta hilly from Powell to Shoshone. Then flattens out a lot till lander. From lander to CO it's mostly flatish. If we go through Craig and meeker (hope so beautiful roads and country)in CO to get to the interstate to get to grand junction it's VERY hilly. One spot on the way to Moab I was floor in 5th gear and realized I was going 50 but Jess and I couldn't tell we were going up hill..I was like wtf..haha

    Past grand junction I have no idea. Ill assume hilly tho.

    Everything is 65 mostly other then outside the town 45 usually.

    NO ONE IS GOING TO BE HUNGRY THIS TRIP. :angrygirl:

    The grand canyon should definitely be on your bucket list. It is truely amazing. We've all seen the pictures but the best camera cannot do that place justing. It is overwhelming. :eek:

    The begining and end of our journey will be a lot of interstate. But about 99% of the rest of it will be 2 lane. Prolly 55-60 mph average.

    Agreed man. Way lame. My old Toyota didn't have it. Course..it had no power too..so 55mph up hills and 80 down..didn't end well with the highway patrol..haha
