Removing chrome stuff from grille

has anyone removed the chrome from the grille surround on the TRD Off-Road's? I want to paint it SS Mica but need to know if it's removeable. Anyone find a good "off-the-shelf" match for the SS Mica paint?

You sand the chrome off. And you can buy color match paint online in a spray can

 

Where do you get that online? I'm looking for a can of mag grey (just cuz) but also the color that is the inside of my grille, which is something else - its not mag gray. MIGHT be pyrite but I dunno.

I thought I had it in my bookmarks but cannot find the site. There was a site where you could order OEM Factory replacement parts such as grilles, door handles, mirrors, and rear bumpers which are color matched.

Now I just need to figure out what color the middle/inside of my grill is. It's not mag gray - MIGHT be pyrite, I dunno. Any mag gray owners know? When I do my satoshi I want to keep that the same color, would be pretty neat looking.

Thanks folks...it seemed lke some sort of vinyl covering the way is dries out and chips off...I guess I'll sand it. I thought about buying a new one but at $150ish it seemed like a waste.
