How is the progress on your setup going

 

If you want more than 3" of lift its either that or SAS.

 

Funny you should ask--I set an appt with Advanced Auto Performance in Uxbridge for the torchwork--CMCs, lover shock mounts, bump stop brackets removal, shackle mount removal/flip kit install and the day of the appt I get a text from Dave at Dave's Custom Creations (the welder I know from my last job) that he can meet me that same night. Sounds like he can get me into his shop quicker (the 5th) so I'll go with him--said he'd even get my sneakers swapped out while he's got it. If it falls through I may go to Gloucester on the 7th if that still goes...

Didnt know you were doing a shackle flip. You probably dont need any more ideas but have you looked into BAMF rear shock relocation towers? You can run a 12" shock with them. That plus the shackle flip, and maybe a longer shackle would give you some serious travel. I guess that would be about as far as you could go with the rear without going full LT, doing spring under axle and cutting into the bed for shock mounts.

The Icon 2.0s are plenty of shock with the flip kit--I check out their dimensions based on the feedback I got from ATO. BUT I'm keeping the BAMF setup in the back of mind should I decide to tweak the rear end when I replace the leaf pack....(which will likely happen)

Im really happy with dakars minus the third leaf. Handles a load well, doesnt sit to high in the rear and they flex pretty nice.

 

It's not his Trans making the noise. He has a bad bearing .

 

Ouch ! That hurts the wallet .
