Well , I don't really see a fire sale as Schneider is the only one gone but I'll say it again that the Canucks fired the wrong guy when they fired AV and kept dumb fuck Gillis

 

No kidding. He brings in new prospects at the expense of developed prospects. Such a fool. Grabner goes for nothing, Hodgson for Kassian and now Schneider. Gillis is a joke. As things are now, Vancouver fans are going to be looking at the same aging team this fall. Many fans will quickly lose interest.

Earned 159 penalty minutes in 70 games last season in The Dub, yet he finished fourth among league leaders. Ha! Spokane's Carter Proft led all players with 193 PIMs. That's impressive.

I'm still not sure how Gillis was able to keep his job when the end of season meeting was held with ownership and they obviously knew then that they weren't going to buyout Luongo

Schneider in my opinion was the only guy worth keeping 100% in Vancouver. I always thought he was their future in net, but wow I guess the management learned from the team and started to nose dive as well...

And not to be talking highly of Dean Lombardi or anything, but gotta give props to Deano for arranging it with NJ so that they can pick Anthony. Class act by both clubs, especially Devils

Big day today for Seattle and the NHL. I hope the rumors I'm hearing about the Glendale vote is true.

 

The vote is tonight and I don't think they have any other choice than to vote for the deal. Yes, it makes a $7 mil short fall in the budget, but if they don't take the deal they will still have to pay someone to manage the arena without the Coyotes' income to help, so it will be much higher loss.

Their political careers will be dead in AZ if they don't approve the deal.
