Actually I just went back and read the PM we sent each... it was his father, not his grandfather.

It seems if poster A had an emergency family problem with a sale that has completed, the least he could do is spend 30 seconds shooting a PM to the buyer of which he had the $$$ already, then let the chips fall....

I get a little miffed when this happens, yes, mostly Ebay problems, and I have heard this 'I had a family problem' thing more than once...usually the response was elicited after I put the the heat on the seller...

to each his own, rep is important...

    Again, the skepticism is warranted.

But honestly, if my father is unexpectedly dying and ends up passing away... the last thing on my mind during that time is taking 30 seconds to shoot a PM. And I would hope my TW brethren would understand.

But we digress. All I care about here is that the OP gets his money back.

I'll totally agree with you, especially as one who has had a terminally ill parent for years who is on his last days. Not sure of the time that passed in your example, but I get too that the OP deserved 2 minutes or less of contact from the seller. Did the seller probably have time to do that? I would guess..but I also get that things fall through the cracks in times like that.

I figure if that's all true he owes the OP a little extra for his time waiting..I forgot to pay a guy for a set of darts he sold me so I've been guilty of it too, when I did mail it off I sent him a few sets of supplies as well for his time waiting on me..

Yep, what a piece of SHIT! Dude do the right thing, give the man his money back and make amends. You may be able to delete a minimal amount of your footprint here, but the mods will NEVER let you delete your posts after this abortion.

Don't ship a paid for item, no return of messages for almost a month, have a bunch of Tacoma owners track you down in your non TW life, show up and delete post, delete avatar and give a month old excuse that sounds lame NOW................fucking classic.

Just a bunch of old crap
I seriously don't think this guy was intending to scam. I just think he's flat-out lazy. He wants to turn some $$ selling some of his junk (check out his facebook), but he's too lazy to go to the UPS store to ship it. These guys are a dime a dozen. Doesn't anyone in this world keep their word anymore?

Sucks for Bacon, but this thread title is priceless! I am envisioning a little kid whose ice cream fell in the sand box and is all like "dammit guys I got stiffed!"

Glad to see this is getting worked out though. I have been played with a time or two on eBay once upon a time.

I also don't think his intentions were to scam. But it's how he's handling it now that's frustrating. He seems irritated with us and seems reluctant to correct the situation. He is defensive instead of being apologetic that he made a mistake and willing to make things right. He deleted his pictures and posts and all but deleted his TW account even though we all already have his RL info.

It's because people panic when they realize they can actually be tracked down like this. I mean, stupid, lazy people react weirdly when confronted with a serious situation. I'm guessing somewhere in his head he's hoping if he erases all his 'traces' we can't find him...which makes no sense as we've already tracked him down...but hey, whatever lol
