Already posted my results! 1.4mpg increase, more low end torque, more high end torque, faster throttle response. It feels like you always have power (my truck has been feeling underpowered lately before installing this spacer, now it feels great again)

 

After we finished Phil's instal, I thought I would toss this up here: The E-Torx is an E7, and the 4 socket head bolts that you must remove and replace are 8mm.

 

I don't think the Gen2 auto Tacomas can do such a pull as the tranny cannot be locked into a gear. A manual is needed for a low rpm pull,,, and didn't someone try to do such a pull, for this or some other, and had problems with the stabilty/traction control interfering??

 

I believe that was correct if i remember the post you are referring to, which is why if OP invites me down to test i will make sure i have the abs kill switch installed to remove any variables with those items.

A lot of us are skeptical of this mod and are very, very patiently waiting for some dyno results.

Going from feeling underpowered, to feeling like there is power all the time, and 1.4 mpg improvement are a lot to see from a slight increase in intake runner length.

There is no reason mpg should change at all under part throttle driving conditions, and more power comes with more gas.

 

I agree. That is why i took the gamble and decided to order. I have also offered to OP to come down and use my truck on the dyno runs if needed. I am a 6 speed so i guess the dyno pulls could be in the lower rpm range which is what everyone, including myself, want to see.
If the numbers show improvement, OP will get a lot more business. If not, you can tell us "i told you so".

 

Yeah, I'm not shitting on the guy. Just want to see the results on paper. At that point he's a hero or a zero.

 

I wouldn't be surprised by a slight shift in hp with increase in the low end, but not much, that makes sense.
