    BART, AC Transit and now the East Bay Regional Parks people are all seemingly ready to strike-in each case, they've cited increased revenues and now they want their share.

    Can't say as I fault them for wanting a raise but in BARTs case, they're asking for the friggin moon and won't settle for anything less which is 20+ percent over four years.
    I don't know many people who've received more than one or two percent per year for what seems like ever.

    if the product and the employees were providing the best service you ever had in your whole life this conversation about raises would be so much easier. The product itself is terrible

    So true. Last cost of living increase I saw was in July 2005 (work for the State). Then gave up about $20k over the last 5 years due to furloughs. Finally seeing a 3% this month. And I can't believe the benefits the BART employees receive. They don't even pay into their pensions. Ridiculous.

    Anyone else get a bunch if power outages? I think it was from everyone runnin their AC at first but then a fire popped up down the road from me and now I've had no power for almost an hour :(
