    that sucks! I alls ways try and use tie downs rated higher then what i’m tying down. or use 1 or 2 more then i really need. also i find that you get what you pay for with ratchet straps. also got to keep them in good condition. if they start to fray bad try not to use them.

    I tied down a 450 lb bike with 5 straps. They have held more weight before. The polypropylene ones are no good for durability though. I ordered some nylon webbed ones that are thick and manly as hell now.

    dang. yeah on the atvs. one is like 530# and i use 4 that are rated at 600#. the rhino gets tied down with 2 (need to pick up 2 more) but they are rated at 1200, also we use the winch to help tie it down.
