It helps to mention the trailer was made for a 30' boat which put a little more weight ahead of the axles increasing the tongue weight quite a bit. Even hitting railroad tracks at a good clip, my tires still never came close to hitting the wheel wells. I've never been more impressed with a vehicle in my life.

If you are still under warranty go to the dealer and ask for the "Rear Spring harsh ride" TSB. You have to ask the dealer for the "Harsh ride TSB" word for word. They will add another leaf to your springs free of charge. I had this done on my 2011 Tacoma. You will have your 3pack replaced with a 4pack leaf. Don't let the dealer try to talk you out of it. They tried to talk me out of it saying, my ride would be rougher. That isn't true. The ride difference is negligible. I couldn't tell much difference. I do have less body roll on turns, which is good.

I hauled a load of rock recently, 1800lbs in the bed. The guy at the landscape yard was impressed. He said some F150's he loads, don't handle the weight as well as my Tacoma did.

    Read about it here...http://www.tacomaworld.com/forum/2nd-gen-tacomas/7158-dealers-who-performed-suspension-tsb.html

Rockwood Freedom pop-up camper. With all the gear in the bed, two adults, one child, kayak, 285 MT's, and ARB bumper, I still get about 14mpg. I have Dakar rear springs and have no issues with squatting. Towing through the mountains is the only time I can really tell its back there - and even then, I *might* have to go down to 4th gear on the steepest grades (6spd).

I probably have a total of 5K miles towing this set up over the past 3 years. Does GREAT. ImageUploadedByTapatalk1373030538.052084.jpg

I pulled a similar rig last year. Just the popup could get 18 mpg. Throw two kayaks on top and it dropped to 13.

Check out Thomas Canyon in the Ruby Mountains of NorthEastern Nevada. Insane place. Alpine like environment. Thankfully it's so far out in the middle of nowhere nobody has noticed it. We only knew about it because my folks grew up in the nearby city of Elko, Nevada. Will post pic's later.
