Keep me off your prayer list, I'm a good Catholic. I don't go around praying to Jesus for him to help you. Not his job or mine. I expect the same from you.

Your post are full of dumb, so that would explain the frustration.

    I know the difference... ;)

Objective laws already exist, and are unaffected by the subjective theories science proposes.

If it wasn't for gravity, every muscle in your body would atrophy. See? Paradise or Hell... it's all in the attitude.

    I'm one of them. :)

I see no conflict in Creator designed laws which govern the evolution of life on this planet.

I've been an atheist for some time now and reading through this thread just makes me shake my head. I long ago gave up trying to convince people that the idea of a supreme being is a fallacy. People are going to believe in whatever makes the most sense to them, and I sleep just fine at night knowing that. Believe in what you want, it ultimately has zero bearing on my life and my happiness.

Phil - Just stop posting, you just come across as another all knowing atheist/agnostic that gives the rest of us a bad rap. I get it, I use to think like you, but you have to let it go man. You're trying to mix oil and water together, it's an impossible task, let people believe in whatever and be happy and confident with your belief system.

I agree. No one convinces anyone else of anything. Each of us takes the view we chose and all of its just and deserved consequences with us to our grave...

...so why not simply enjoy our time here? :)

All I can think of is home alone

"Look what you did you little jerk!"

Also Phil, that whole thing about you being a good catholic and not praying had got me really confused. One of us doesn't understand what it means to be a good catholic

Fully open to it being me btw

Dammit, I've tried to unsubscribe from this thread several times. I guess it's Jesus trying to save me.

    Jesus loves you...no homo...

Maybe with the times the bible will come out with an Adam and Steve edition given the bibles history of changing :p

But seriously why follow something that has been subject to change and misinterpretation over the years?

Hmmm, you could say Science has the same history, for it has been subject to change and misinterpretation over the years as well.

True but when new evidence comes out science generally says it was wrong.

Like the new splenda warning I saw a week or so ago when they suggested new evidence shows splenda may be somewhat harmfull as opposed to the harmless sweetener we have known it as.

But a lot of the misinterpretation in science comes from dumbing it down for the public. then some average Joe thinks he's a master at it and starts blabbing to people and so on.

Which I'm sure the second one happens with the bible as well, but we have hard facts we can disprove misinterpretations with in science.

The bible is on big interpretation since we can't just ask the person who wrote it what things mean.

I can agree to the last statement. It is all about interpretation. Just because the Bible has been misinterpreted however, does not make it arbitrarily wrong. Just misinterpreted.

Why can't you ask God what He meant? I do that all the time with scriptures that don't make sense to me, and I always get an answer.
