    That is the hog .get to them way off in the woods food plots .Go deep with food plots and no problems .Just dont tell anyone .:):)And these boys cant understand how im killin deer like i do.I wont tell a soul that hunts with me .Them little food plots dont last long ,but if there are enough the deer stay around .Plow up different areas and be happy .BUILD UT THEY WILL COME

    Harden your bark, there are storms on the horizon.
    my plots have gone to hell. didn't plant last year due to fertilizer prices and general lack of money. thinking of giong to alfalfa in the future, hoping to get better life out of the seed. the "perenial" mixes have only lasted about two years in my experience. have heard lot of people are planting turnips and getting good results. kinda sucks...just about to have six freshly cleared acres to plant...but cannot afford to. fertilizer around here is roughly $12-16/40lb bags of triple 20. lime is not an issue. 40lbs for $3.

    looks like a pretty cool little disc you have there. my friends and i have used various "implements" in cluding a home made "scarifer" that was a bunch of rebar welded together with a place to stand on top of it lol. i have found that a box blade for a tractor will do a pretty good job breaking soil...but takes multiple passes. still trying to find a 6' two row disc for future tillage...if i do any.

    i'll just have to rely on the fact that every bit of timber around the property has been cut within the last 5-6 years. our last timber harvest was back in '87, so i got more nuts than everyone else around me. :)

    We have 5 acre foodplots at our clubs here we do with big kabota.The hog wouldnt work on the big tracts of food plots.Our lime and seed cost were up in the $2000 mark for one club.It sure does get expensive .The white oaks and red oaks along with muscadine & persimmion trees are ;loaded this yr though fronm the rain we had fer a while here .The blackberrys are plentyful for the deer to .More then ive ever seen in many yrs .Course we had a drought here for a couple yrs .
