I think it's called "old blanket", and you lay it on the seat, and then the dog lays on it.

Idk I remember someone having it...it connects to top of back seats. Almost like a hammock. Ill find it eventually..girl I'm kinda dating is driving back to school with me in FL might be taking her dog for ride

Yep i have that, it has straps and you attach it to the headrests. Look up scout seat saver by duluth trading co. Crappy picture, and its not attached to the headrests right now

You can get them at petco too. We have like 3 of them. Very handy, especially if your dog sheds, our is all nasty from swimming/rolling in mud/ camping etc...

 

Guys, Ye Olde Blanket is free. Poke a couple holes in it for the head rest.

Did I mention it's free? And machine washable

 

We used blankets for a while, but I like these better. They are heavy canvas type material, so the hair can't work it's way through the blanket. Plus mine are waterproof, so the seats don't smell like wet dog.

 

Our dog is a princess when it comes to the water. Normally have to throw her in, so moisture isn't too much of a problem. Just muddy paws.

 

The other thing it's nice for is when we're out hiking and the dog decides he's hungry and wants to go on the prowl for small animals to snack on he will usually find some sort of animal scat and roll in it to mask his scent. Keeps the poop off of the seats as well...

 

Machine washable...

 

I just hose them off.
