Creationism vs. Evolution

What happened? I am new.

 

Wait, let me get this straight, you are curious what is meant in a scripture, so you have an actual conversation with the Almighty, and he answers you directly?

 

I don't see what's so hard to believe about that, it isn't always the case, sometimes ill get an answer in another text, but yeah there's definitely been times when I've actually talked with God. The entire New Testament speaks to relationship with The Father through Jesus. Why would it say that if you couldn't interact with Him?
THAT makes no sense and would be crazy.

 

And we hear from God in a myriad of ways, but I always know when something is God's idea, and when it's my idea. One example I can think of is calling off my wedding, I was about 5 weeks out from getting married and driving home from the gals house and God very clearly told me that the relationship was not what He had for me. It wasn't even a bad relationship. But I listened and called it off and NOW am married to the woman of my dreams.

I would hope if you called off a wedding you would at least get someone on par with, or better than, your once fiancé...
There are also 8billion (or 9?) People on the planet. Odds are one is right for you, probably many more...

Negative, no Christian mingle. And yeah, she's way better for me than the previous one. And way better looking haha. And yeah I think you're right, I think we can be happy with many different spouses, but I do think that others might be exponentially better than some.

All in all I'm grateful I listened, because I would've missed out on my wife.

Everyone who questions what the scriptures mean, asking God for an "answer," always gets what they're seeking.

Funny thing though, if 10 people ask God the same question, most times they'll get 10 different answers, and each of the 10 will insist that the "answer" they got is the "right one"! ..It's just the way people are!!

 

So you finally found one who yells out "Oh God! Oh God!"?

Well that verse seems to contradict... Though I'm sure you'll call it a paradox.

But to the rest speak I, not the Lord: If any brother hath a wife that believeth not, and she be pleased to dwell with him, let him not put her away. And the woman which hath an husband that believeth not, and if he be pleased to dwell with her, let her not leave him. (1 Corintians 7:12-13 KJV)

Whosoever putteth away his wife, and marrieth another, committeth adultery: and whosoever marrieth her that is put away from her husband committeth adultery. (Luke 16:18 KJV)

 

Haha, other gal was a Christian as well, no difference in faith, just tons better for me. We make good looking babies. It's from all that practicing is what my dad would say

 

If you read further (like 2 verses further) in 1. Corinthians Paul states that the reason they should stay married is to give the other salvation. Be a witness to the spouse so to speak, it also says, if the unsaved chooses to leave let it be so. But as a follower of Christ we're called to stay in a marriage as long as there's hope for salvation.

 

I know it says that, but that still has no bearing on the point. The passage clearly states that being married to a non-christian is not grounds for a divorce. Also, the other clearly shows that alledgedly there is no justification PERIOD. Just found it ironic that someone stated an ex-wife not believing in his god was a bad thing and contributed to a divorce.

Wow this really has nothing to do with evolution anymore....
