I saw that, but I consider that to be a bull bar. I thought you were talking about a light bar like a rigid LED light bar with LED's on it, not something that is metal tubing.

iPhones are in troubled waters - I might switch away.. There's always a chance for a comeback though!

True story. IOS7 is just a bunch of new features that android has been doing since day one. They lost Steve Jobs and now they nobody to steal great ideas for them anymore.

Im leaving T-Mobile in 13 days and that means my employee discount is gone. So I am now in the market for a new phone and service. I have an offer to get on my girls Verizon plan but am on the fence for which phone to go with. Seems like you are and Android fan Colby, and you seem to dislike Apple.. Why? I take your uber-tech advice as fairly sound advice so please be specific.
I have carried 4 different Android devices in 3 years because I was given free phones for my tenure. There is one constant I have seen with every Android and that is with EVERY new OS upgrade, the phones get worse. Sure I consider that TMOs service has been lacking for years but these are obvious OS issues and will begin to resolve with minor updates after. But it doesn't help the fact that unless you buy a new phone that was designed around the OS, your probably going to have problems (in my experience)
So that being said what would you do? Note: I do not want a huge phone like the Note or Galaxy and ever since I supported frontline retail stores, I have a distrust for Samsung.

If you want to know why I have a hatred for Apple we should sit down and talk.. I could pretty much go over hundreds of reasons why Apple products are a joke. Really, anytime you want to sit down and nerd out let me know.

But you said one thing that was very important, (I've I have carried 4 different Android devices in 3 years because I was given free phones for my tenure.) Free phones don't have good hardware, so comparing a HTC Desire to an iPhone is like comparing a geo metro to a porche on a hardware level. The phones won't act good with 256 megs of ram running a 800mhz processor.

The Apple hardware is great, screen is good (batt life on the iPhone5 is horrible) and its decently fast with good ram. But the software is why I hate Apple. iOS is a total joke.

Things you can't do on iOS:
Want to have widgest- nope requires Jail Break which is basically turning it into Android.
Change the layout of your icons to not stack together (place them wherever you want and have them stay there on your screen) - nope
Change the clock font/color/size/ - nope
Make the icons smaller - nope
Run 2 apps at once- nope
Delete the newstand app or not see it (requires a hack, you can't remove it other wise)
The list can go on and on.

And a big one I found over the weekend.

    I want to use a .mp3 as a ringtone.

Android: Put .mp3 on the phone (anywhere you like, SD/internal). Long press on it and say 'set as ring tone' .. Done.

Here is how you do it for the iPhone5. (unless you want to buy a 30 second clip for $1.29)

1: On your PC, load iTunes by opening the Start menu and selecting the program from the list. (You can do this on a Mac as well)

2: From your library, right-click on the song you want to use as a ringtone and then select Get info.

3: Select the Options tab and then tick the Start Time and Stop Time boxes. Enter times at which you want the ringtone to start and stop. You will have to listen to the track first and note down the time you want it to start. The stop time must be within 30 seconds, as this is the maximum length for a ringtone.

4: Click OK. Right-click on the track again, and then select Create AAC version. iTunes will convert the song. It will appear as a duplicate track - you can identify it by the track length in seconds.

5: Right-click on the original track, and then using the Options tab from the Get info menu, return the start and stop times to their original times. Otherwise, when you play that track, it will only play the section between your start and stop times!

6: Right-click on the short ringtone track and click Show in Windows Explorer.

The file will be highlighted. Right-click on it and choose Rename. Now change the extension from .m4a to .m4r. Click Yes when asked if you want to change the extension. If you can't see the extension, it's because Windows is set to hide the extensions. To show the extension for editing, follow the instructions here

7: Double-click the file to add it to your iTunes library (or add it using the 'Add file to library' menu option in iTunes). Then, in iTunes, click the drop-down arrow to select the Tones section of your library. You'll see your ringtone there.

8: Connect your smartphone to your PC and click on iPhone when it appears on the right-hand side of iTunes.Make sure Tones is set to sync with your phone. If you choose 'selected tones' rather than 'All tones' make sure you tick the tones you want to appear on your iPhone.

9: When the sync is finished, tap Settings on your iPhone, then Sounds, then Ringtone and select the new tone. It should appear at the top of the list, above the default Ringtones.

Really? 9 fucking steps to 'make' a ring tone when my Android can do it in 2 steps. Fucking lame. There is about a million other little bullshit issues like this that just come up left and right for iPhone users. I have an iPhone 5 and I have a Note 2, and I sit there and wonder every day why the fuck people pay money for an iPhone. It's total shit, worthless, and in all honestly is now turning into Android as they lost their edge in the market. See iOS7 demo on their site, then go play with any android device and you'll see what I'm talking about.

Most people I know who went from android to apple say "the phone is so much better and stable".. Yet the were using the free phone and paying $400 for their iPhone. Of course it will work better, its a $400 phone vs Free. That's like comparing Apples to dildos.

And last but not least, Android doesn't use iTunes.. Fuck iTunes its such a pile of shit. Rant over :)

Another one I don't like is not being able to set different profiles for ringtones. IE when you plug in your phone it changes to a different set of tones/vibrate
