I didn't watch the video so I'm operating under the assumption that being shot stopped the threat from what I read from those that did and had the dog not been shot it would have bit. The scenario I'm discussing is one where the officer shot the dog to stop the threat of being attacked so if the officer shots or not that dog would likely no longer be alive either way.

 

the dog in this video is acting like its going to attack but never really went after the officer, was more barking and lurching forward and then backward.

 

I guess that changes my assumptive synopsis slightly but the preventative measure still applies.

 

how about you watch the video and see what you think after actually watching it

I'm not going to watch a video where a dog gets shot so that I can debate if the dog should be been better secured or not.

 

im with OST, i kinda wish i never watched it because the stupid ass owner should have just left the scene instead of taunting the officers and filming them, then putting his dog in the car where he could clearly see the dog could escape and be put in harms way.

Seeing one more dog shot by a cop will somehow change my mind that tragic shit happens and most of the time had the owner taken better precautions to secure their dogs they would happen less often? Doubtful.
