 Yeah, it got stuck on the last page.
Thanks, bro! :) Got my 2.63" creeper joints from Ballistic Fab. They also have a kit with just about everything you need to swap the 63s. I'm actually back on 3 leaves since I was bottoming out way too much on 2. It was a very nice ride..... but I didn't have enough up travel for daily driving. lol

3 w/o the overload is perfect. But like, Eric, said, make sure you've got long enough bumpstops!

I went with some cheap rubber bushing from rockauto. rubber flexes better with leaves and poly is over-rated... :D Found that out when I completely tore the big 'D' bushing on my steering rack in Moab. Those poly bushings were only a few months old...

You think shorter shocks in the rear would help with the up travel on the road?

Do you have a part number for the bushings or know what vehicle to look up for them? Also these are the 63's I'm looking at.

4 pack with overload although they are on a 2wd truck

Oh and did you pull your gas tank to weld the inner part of the hanger? I was planning on making some like these But idk if I'll be able to find that square tubing so I may just have to do the plate idea like you did but I really dont want to pull the tank.

Those are good. It was most likely a WT, they come with the 4 pack (I've read). Just an extra leaf, as long as they are 63" long (bring a freaking tape!!) you will be fine.

You can make brackets like those? That's cool! Otherwise just buy them, they are cheap.

Just enter any 88+ chevy/gmc 1/2 or 3/4 ton and it should be the right bushings. I think I used a 1992 k1500 too get mine....

Those look like the right springs! :) Wouldn't hurt to bring a tape measure (like Eric said). As long as they are 63 or 64 inches long and the centering pin is centered, you're golden.

In case you haven't seen this page yet, check it out (lot's of good info! :)): http://www.pirate4x4.com/forum/toyota-truck-4runner/20665-63-chevy-1-2-ton-spring-swap-faq.html
Yeah, I pulled the gas tank just to be safe.

If you can find the square tube, I definitely recommend going with that method instead my method of plate on the outside and inside of the frame. My method makes the fitment pretty tight, and I had to slightly grind down the bushing to get them to fit in the hangers. Either way works though.

Also, serveral companies like Ballistic and RufStuff sell the hangers and several other parts specifically needed to swap 63s on a Tacoma...

On a different (purely hypothetical) note..........

About how much more do you guys think I could ask for my truck if it had about 70 more hp, and a turbo-ey sound to it?

    $0 more? $500? $1000+?

PS While purely hypothetical, that is a 100% serious question!

I'm getting tired of potential buyers drooling over everything on the truck until they ask "anything done to the engine?" and they give me the most bored/weirdest face when I tell them "deck-plate mod". Plus my stupid intake is completely cracked right now and being held together with ductape. Need something to remedy that......

That's what I was worried about. Why? Because it indicates hard driving? Because it puts more stress on the engine?

Mostly because its a truck, it won't be fast so I'd at least like it to be reliable.

    lol :p

Would you consider a small turbo (say like a garett t3 or t3/t4) only making about 70 extra hp (maybe a bit more) unreliable?

Also, think of the pool of buyers that would be interested in buying my truck, man.... :D Do you think the number one concern will be reliability? lol

Very good point haha. I just don't see a profit there after you buy the turbo manifold (get it custom made I'm assuming) and engine management stuff.

There is NO way you could set up a properly well setup and reliable turbo setup no matter how small the turbo and come out on top.

It'll run you 4k easy just for the turbo kit stuff and fuel add ons.

    Not worth it.

SC..maybe..but you still couldn't add on more then what you'd put into it.

If your gonna boost it. Just keep the fucking thing. Not worth it if your just going to dump ANOTHER GOD DAMN 2-4K in it!!

JUST KEEP THE FUCKING THING SILAS!!!!!!!
    :goingcrazy:

    Okay..I'm done...for now..

But seriously. No way boosting it is worth the cost just to add 500 more to the price to get it sold. Stupid.

If someone is asking about that and expecting more from it there aren't a real Toyota enthusiast and don't appreciate the machine. If I was you. I wouldn't sell it to someone concerned with hp and motor mods. Someone who loves it's and knows what it is and capable if wont give a fuck about the motor as long as it moves and has the Toyota bulletproof 5vzfe power plant.

    /idea

    Now...

    Keep it

    Keep it

    Keep it

    KEEEPP ITTT!!!

It's a long shot... but that's why I'm trying to gauge how much more I could potentially get on selling. And I'd also like to learn more about the world of turbos and the powerplant. Yes, turbo manifold would be custom.
