Good day to all. Right off the bat I would like to thank you guys and gals for all the extremely helpful info on this site and really appreicate the real world experience.
I have been contemplating doing a suspension swap for some time. I would like a small amount of lift for looks and more capacity in the rear without sacrficing ride. I am hoping for the next set of tires to be 265 75 16's on stock alloy's and would think a little more height with that tire would look good. I need the truck to remain "sane" and useable as we tow alot. I am really liking the ARB OME 885 suspension kit . Springs and shocks at all four corners.
My question for the forum would be has anyone had any problems with JUST changing the coils, leafs and four shocks and nothing else?? Do you need to change the control arms? Brake lines ? and is the drive shaft spacer neccesary to combat vibration?
With the lift only around 1.75 inches is there a concern about boot tearing in the front? Is the ride going to improve as much as they all say? It would be sweet if a truck had these upgrades and is in southern Ont so I could drive it and feel the difference.
Up here in the great white north the prices are no were near as cheap as down south so I really research things before commiting the cash.
We have a few relatives in north Georgia and we visit them once a year so I have toyed with purchasing while on vacation but then if a part is wrong I'm screwed on returning as it is a 13 hour drive back.
The best I could get for the whole kit was $1400 Cad at National 4WD in Hamilton Ont. about an hours drive from home.
    Any help is really appreciated.
    Thanks in advance

Remember for every mile of road there are 2 miles of ditches so use all of them.

I think with the Kit your looking @ you should be fine, I would just replace the rear brake lines.
Also I think has the best price on the OME stuff.

I am gonna try to help you out if I can remember all your questions.

The 885's will give you a minimum of 2" lift probably a little more. From what I have read and heard some guys got up to 2.5" of lift from them. (I just bought a set but the aren't installed yet." I also did a 2.5" AAL in the rear (just bought a new Deaver packs). I HAVE NOT changed my Control Arms and my alignment is dead on, so I have no worries there. I did do a 1" diff drop and a sway bar relocator. (I would recommend the diff drop (cheap and easy to do). Every truck is different so you will have to play it by ear (so to speak). If you get any vibration, then figure out where and fix it. I do not get any vibration now, but I did until I got the tires balanced (again). You can get the lift stuff you want pretty cheap. The OME 885's should be under $200 and the AAL depending on brand for under $150 (Skyjackers are $90 on ebay). Hope this helps.

I used to have this very similar kit installed on my truck. It was ok, better than a body lift or a straight spacer lift. I sold mine after putting about 500 miles on it. No defective problems at all just not for me.

I think 1400 CAD is a decent deal.. www.TRDparts4u.com got it for around 950, but once you convert and add shipping and duty will probably be more then that.. Let me know how much and where from, if you end up getting the kit, been thinking of getting it myself

Very rarely.. but occasionally with wheel fully turned and hitting a bump at the same time I get minimal rubbing. I tracked it down to the inner front fender its not bad so I'm not going to trim it.. I also have bilstein 5100s set with a 1.75 lift up there.
I live just behind chicopee off of morgan
