SPANKS! I've followed ur build for a while too. Im on the fence between long travel and SAS

 

If I lived somewhere where it didn't have dunes/dez I prolly would sas.... That said lt 4x still gets er done on the trails.

 

In all honesty I dig the look of the long travels. I like the fiberglass fenders and stuff which don't look right without the lt kits. But I live here on the east coast where I mostly see mountains so I'm thinking sas for this truck. Maybe if I get a 2nd gen later then ill do lt

Sweet mother of god! Now thats what I'm talkin about. I need some details. lift, tires, and the winch. I have searched every to find out a way to mount a winch to the factory bumper.

Hello, There are a couple of hidden winch mounts over on ttora. Search brandonjenkins ,chris c and mikerox. On expedition portal search 01 tundra for 03 Tacoma build. I believe that the winch build starts on page 9 or 10. There are others as well. hope this helps, Ray

 

Thanks for the compliments and sorry for the delayed response! I did a write up on TTORA on my winch install... google search "xrc8 mounted in factory bumper"... or something like that lol. Should be one of the first ones to show up. When I originally built the mount I had a 3" bodylift. I removed the bodylift and had to cut and rework the mount to drop it down to match. One of these days ill get a picture of the winch mount after being reworked... as far as the rest of the truck, im running 4" procomp w/ OME 881s up front, allpro 5" springs and 1.5" shackles in the rear. 315/75/16 BFG KM2s on Wheelers steelies. Demello hybrid rear bumper, trailgear sliders. I just put a new longblock in it last summer, its got about 12,000 miles on it now, TRD Supercharger, TRD 7th injector kit, TRD headers and catback, hollowed cats and URD o2 simulator.

 

Big props on a badass truck! Is it hard to remove the body lift? Me and another member up here are goin to take his body lift off and we've never messed with a body lift before
