Call the dealer with your VIN they should be able to tell you. Is it an Auto or Manual? BaseSR5, TRD offroad or TRD Sport?

This thread was titled so effectively. I came here looking for pictures of hotties in thongs, not talk about gear ratios. Way to keep it vague.

Really? Were on a truck forum. Usually when someone refers to a rear end theyare talking about an axle. Not your ass. Give the new guy a break. Help out or shut up.

Should be a 3.71 : 1 ring and pinion in your truck. But a hottie in a thongs is nice too!

Ok smart ass.. you opened a can so take a drink. What I was really going to say originally, before just trying to put a funny spin on it, was that "rear end" can refer to many different truck topics, too. In the forum rules it states to make your titles concise, not vague. "Rear end" could have meant:

I got rear-ended (what I originally though this was going to be about)
My rear end needs a good lube
How do I lube my rear end?
What gears are in my rear end?
What gears are in your rear end?
    My rear end is crooked
    My rear end is loose
    My rear end has vibrations
How much weight can I tow with my rear end?
How much does the axle in my rear end weigh in kilograms?

and on and on and on....

Point here is that if you make a thread, then try to put a little more detail into it so it's more targeted to the audience that may be able to assist.

If you're selling a car on craigslist, you're not going to list the title as "car", are you? Maybe you are. But thanks for YOUR assistance to his question though, by just calling me out instead.

It's called an "analogy", and I think you misspelled "I'm sorry".

The question might be legit, but in the wrong place. As it states at the top of this ( 'New Members' ) forum :

Your first post states you have a "2006 double cab 4.0l". That doesn't tell me anything about Sport or automatic. But to answer your question, it's a limited slip differential. How do I know? Because I have one, too.
