Crawler may be a little much for what I really mean. The budget is going to be like 3 grand for some beater.

Well after quite a long wait on parts, and a few technical issues, the monster Tacoma of dtmccray is just about ready! That D60 was a chore to set up, which is unusual since they are pretty much the easiest diff to set up. Just bad luck on my end slowing it down. Also the Supercharger is in and I am looking forward to seeing this truck on the trail! Just a few more small things to finish up and she will be ready to go home!

Ahhh. Got ya. Well right now photos are being uploaded to Photobucket. I will have a couple posted here, and the rest in the build thread later.

On a side note: I am waiting right now on a couple of LED shipments to arrive. They SHOULD be here in a couple of days. I have done some experimenting with the different types and have finally been able to compile a list of the different types, and sizes for pretty much EVERY car and truck out there. I am looking at possibly selling "sets" for Tacoma owners as well as those who want to convert their cars. I already have my truck converted over, and as soon as the rest of the LEDs get here I will have Dave's converted as well. What I am looking for is someone with an early model and someone with a late model 2nd gen who is interested in a FULL conversion. Said owners would need to bring their vehicles to my shop for an hour or so while I go over them and take the required notations. Then when the LEDs arrive, to return with their vehicle to get the LEDs installed. Cost for the LED conversion will be the cost of materials only. Once all are completed I will ask for the owners to take a few photos at night for my advertisement and records. Is there anyone out there willing to get a full LED conversion for their 2nd gen Tacoma?

Right as I get finished with my last post the photos finished uploading. Here are a few pictures of the big beast of a Tacoma.

DynaTrac Prorock Dana60 rear diff swapped out (Prior to coming to shop) Note the air tank where the spare tire normally sits.

DynaTrac ProRock Dana60 high pinion front diff. (Solid axle conversion done prior to coming to shop) I installed a Yukon Gears Zip Locker, which is a budget version of an ARB air locker. However after inspecting it and installing it I would be willing to say it is just as strong and reliable as the ARB air locker.

Yep, that is a TRD aftermarket supercharger!

Here is the front diff with the cover removed to show the copper air line on the inside for the Zip Locker.

For those with a rear main seal leak on a 3.4, this is the most common cause that goes hand-in-hand with a dryrotted main seal: Improperly sealed bolt holes from the pan to the main seal housing. If you look at the second photo you can see where the bolts go into the housing from the oil pan. If this area is not sealed properly, it will leak again.

How is that for the requested pictures?

Yeah, Mobile is a good shot away, but when I get all the things sorted out I will post here, so keep your eyes open later on. Right now what I am looking at for the 2nd gen is two kits. An interior kit and an exterior kit. Interior kit will replace the dome lamp(s), cluster bulbs, AC controller bulbs, glove box light (if there is one) and shifter bulbs for the automatic transmission models. Exterior kits will replace all rear lights, and all front lights except for the headlights of course. The front lights will include fog light conversion and something that I had thought of quite a while back when I first saw them, but I got beat to it, but converting the driving lights by the headlights into switchbacks where the driving lights operate normally, but when you turn on the turn signal it flashes yellow.

It will take a small amount if time to do all of the calculations, and obviously I will need to build a component list. The idea is to make the kits as plug-and-play as possible.

That's crazy, those axles are like $4,000 each, and there's a waiting list to even get them. I know, I've been searching solid axle options. :spy:
