    Hey...sorry for the long post.

Just purchased a new 2013, Silver, 4x4, DC, SB, SR5 Tacoma.. I have a few accessory questions (yes I have searched, my eyes are red)..just want to fine tune my decisions. If I am in the wrong forum please advise -

    1) I live in Tahoe, winters can get gnarly and these long OEM mud flaps will break.... however when searching for replacements (Husky for example) its noted that the flaps are for Taco's with fender flares, where can I get flaps for trucks with the SR5 trim?

    2) Bug deflector/Window vents.... I am leaning towards ERG - any reason not to?

    3) Tailgate lock...I do have the camera on the handle, and don't want it stolen...thoughts about securing this?

    4) I purchased the OEM bed mat. I am happy with the decision

    5) Seat covers...I want to protect my investment, where did you find yours?

    6) I originally considered putting a cold air intake in...I think leaving the stock intake in is sufficient, considering it's location especially with a drop in air filter - objections?

That's all for now, thanks in advance!

Welcome and congrates on your new truck!

As far as the OEM mud flaps, you can just cut them a few inches to shorten the length. I used snips to cut them and just followed the shape off the bottom of the flap. Looks just like factory :D

For seat covers, you can check out Wet Okole. They make nice neoprene seat covers IMO.

EGR and WeatherTech are both great companies for bug deflectors and window vent visors.

As for the intake air filter, you can search that on these forums. There are alot of different opinons on that. IMO the stock air filter does the job perfectly. But search and decide for yourself :)

    Welcome to your new addiction:D

As for the mud flap question, both the SR5 and the other versions, OR and Sport have fender flares, so it's your choice. I personally took them off as soon as I got home.

The "pop & lock" (me thinks) is what you are looking for as far as tailgate security. (Try the search function)

Seat covers vary according to your taste. There are Catskin leather re-covers, Wet Okole (sp) neoprene covers and way to many others to mention and all depends on your budgetand needs.

Again, welcome, and enjoy the ride here.

Thanks for all the responses, I appreciate it. Good info, I have some work to do.

The pop and lock is what I am looking for, hopefully I can find one that is compatible with the camera....the new trucks have the back-up camera on the handle.

The back up camera is great! I remember when I bought the truck I thought to myself that I'll never use that. But was I ever wrong. It is perfect for backing into my garage at home. Due to the light bar on the front of my truck and shelves behind the truck I have very limited space. I can put it in the same spot every time.

I'm rockin' the AFE ProDry S Filter. No real gains from what I can tell. But it's nice to have a reusable filter... I've only really cleaned it once now.
