Thanks bros. Much appreciated. Super excited to put on my new wheels (stealth 6's), and that was the only thing that worried me. Really considering making that pipe bomb. At first it seemed kinda complicated but might just look up a thread on the finer details. Might buy some new compatible tpms in the future when i have the extra funds too. Who knows. Btw what battery are you guys talking about?

 

Those are nice wheels, I was drooling all over them and the F5s but couldn't pull the trigger on selling my current setup.

The TPMS sensors in the wheels have batteries in them.

 

So... anybody up for kaena point on Sunday? I'm pretty sure I'll be going up there to play around.

Most likely gonna go to the sand drags at kalaeloa raceway park Saturday night, Gate's open at 4:30 pm, tech and testing to follow around 6 ish.
$10 entrance, $40 run card. See their website for rules/ classes/ details.
It's good fun to watch and even more fun to run!
Single elimination. No coolers, alcohol, or pets.

No idea.. I guess it depends on how many entrants there are. Last time I went to watch, I didn't stay all the way.

Is the stairway to heaven hike worth the trouble of dodging security? I heard there are some good views and I like to hike. Would appreciate some local input, thanks.

 

Just go before security gets there... early mornin couple hours before the sun rises.. be safe.. a lot of people died recently tackling oahu hikes..

I know a guy that might do it, but his source charges like $80 or something. Haven't talked to him in a while either, so dunno if he still does..

 

just do the lift then get recon. all you need is alignment within 30 days. newer trucks like ours will pass easy. Its the ghetto ass buss hondas they give a hard time. I took my TL before and it was pretty slammed and passed no issues.

The inspector was pretty cool. When I lift my truck Ill get the recon, its just not worth the hassle now to have to find a hookup.

X2...Yes! It's worth it. But, you gotta start the trail while its still dark. Before the security guard gets there .

 

You can always do the back side of stairway. Harder trail than just stairs, no need to worry about security, you actually get up higher than where the actual stairs end.... We did that hike in preparation for kalalau (kauai)...
