4th Annual South Padre Island Meet Thread 07/6/2013

Looking forward to seeing ya man!

 

Can't wait man! Does everyone split the next day for breakfast or probably brunch. We could do some hangover breakfast tacos on the Coleman!

 

A few people camp out every year. I'm sure people would be down to get some tacos!

 

Damn two more days! I think it'll be hard to sleep the night before we leave

Been going to sleep pretty late for the past week or so. 3 hours should be enough for Saturday. : P

 

Also, I'm leaving Round Rock tomorrow early evening and heading to Corpus for the night. Anyone interested to joining, drop me a PM (so I see it quicker).

Where is a good place to get air once we're off the beach? Bringing Paul's truck this year, and I don't know how his HTs are going to do.

 

Also, if someone loses a bead, what's the course of action? Tow it to firm ground and put a spare on? Bring a hi-lift and a rock and jack of up there? Pour butane everywhere and light it on fire?

 

I work Saturday till 430am-430pm I'm trying to see if I could get somebody to work for me that day so maybe I can head out to SPI

What time are y'all still planning to meet at Robstown (corpus area)?

 

Also, if anybody has a pair of OEM headlights for sale please let me know... I could buy them from you if I end up going to SPI or if you're driving back through corpus I can meet you somewhere Saturday or Sunday.

 

We're going to meet in the corpus area between 7:30 and head out at 8 am the latest. Address is on the previous page, I'm on the phone right now.

Anyways I'm gonna be joining the convoy to south padre from the corpus rally point!!

I'll be bringing my old weber grill for the meet along with fishing stuff for the just incase

5:30 Leave SA

7:30-7:45 Leave Corpus area after meeting up with the tacomaworldlings from there. Meeting at the Walmart at this address :

Corpus Christi, TX 78410


9:30-9:45 Arrive in Harlingen, maybe refuel there. Meet more tacomaworldlings there. Meet at the Harlingen Walmart, near the gas pumps

10:30-10: 45 Arrive/ meet everybody in Port Isabel walmart parking lot, buy any last minute things…

11:15 leave together for SPI then regroup outside of Access 5 before going in.




Just a heads up: last year when we arrived in Harlingen while people refueled at the walmart there I went to pick up my family, got back not 15 minutes later and then we hit the road again.

I'll be doing the same this year. Going to go pick up my parents and my sis and her husband. I won't be more than 15-20 minutes. They will be ready to jump in the truck by the time I get to their house.

 

Just got to the island the water is nice and shit load of people on the beach

 

You going to go see the fireworks tonight on SPI?

I've always wanted to see them there.

 

I prob just open door of hotel and watch them

 

Did you have to make reservations or was it easy to find a room

 

I made them in a month in advance but they had like 3 rooms left here
