    The leftist view is not to see their faith as being religious, and yet how they believe is the same as a religious person. Only the objects of faith are different.     Drugs, abortion, and homosexuality are common on the right as well, no moral superiority there.

    Good old Rev. Tom Haggarty south of me from conservative and hateful Colorado Springs caught with male prostitute doing crystal meth in a motel, been meeting this prostitute for 3 years.

    If he needed to have an abortion I think Haggarty would have exercised that right.

    Always been that way, and it always will be. Those in positions of "power" and "authority" along with their camp followers, irrespective of the label they wear, HATE anyone who questions anything having to do with their beliefs and prejudices. Religious bigots in particular, all around us in today's world, HATE anyone who questions anything they cling to -- even things as utterly stupid as the earth being "created" in six 24 earth hour time periods.

    These remind us of the people in the Hans Christian Anderson fairy tale, The Emperor's New Clothes. Two weavers promise their Emperor a new suit of clothes. They slick talk him into believing that these new clothes will be stunning to behold, but completely invisible to anyone unfit for their position, stupid, or incompetent.

    When the Emperor is presented his "new clothes", not wanting to admit he can't actually see them because he doesn't want to be seen as stupid, incompetent or unfit for his position, he goes through the charade of dressing in nothing. Then he goes out and parades before his subjects in these invisible "new clothes." It's only when a little child finally cries out, "But he isn't wearing anything at all!" that the Emperor realizes he's been made a laughing stock in his own kingdom.

    Very much like what we're exposed to by those who promote a strict 6 day creation model as "scientifically correct." ..What a crock!!

    You're correct. However, secularism is generally far more associated with the activist political left who petition their god the government to grant them the absolution for their own personal immorality that their Conscience does not.
