did you buy the brevill juicer he uses in the documentary? i have been eyeing it on Amazon for a minute and actually been buying fruit as it goes on sale and freezing it for a juice fast i plan to do when i buy it.

i do really well for the most part eating healthy balanced meals. keeping calories below 1.5k but ive hit a wall on my weight loss, that sends me yoyoing up by five lbs or so. i think the juice diet for a week or two will help me over the wall.

Nope, just buying Bolthouse Farms juices right now. I may get a nice juicer & start doing my own but for now this is working well and is affordable. In related news, I'm down 10.4lbs since Monday! Way more than I had expected & I feel great. None of the negative side-effects I had expected.

Nice job! It's amazing how fast guys can lose weight. Are they special juices or just regular ones? How often do you drink them?

Thanks. The ideal way is to get a quality juicer & buy tons of veggies. That's kind of spendy (good juicers start at $300 & the juice is more expensive to make too) so for now I'm buying juices by Bolthouse Farms. All my research says this stuff is about the best & it's pretty affordable & can be found at any Walmart. Once I determine this is something that will work for me I may invest in a nice juicer to be able to use after the juice fast as part of a healthier diet. As far as how much... I don't know. I drink water all day long & when I start to feel hungry I just drink juice. They say like 6-8 glasses per day but the best bet is to just listen to your body. It'll tell you when to drink juice.

So you just drink purely juice? No actual food?

Juice & only juice. Well, water too. Gobs of water. The idea is to trigger ketosis so your body converts stored fat to energy if you eat not only will it stop burning fat but it will store that food as well since it's essentially in starvation mode. So if you're going to do it you need to commit.

What's the ideal way to transition back to food while limiting a bounce back in weight gain?

Mixing in healthy foods in small portions. It sounds like avocado is one of the idea foods (also good for getting babies onto solid foods too) so I'm guessing my first meal back will be guac or similar and then try to eat healthier foods and smaller portions. I guess your stomach really shrinks up if you do this for a month or two so you have to be careful about your portions. All this is good stuff though really when you're used to horking down buffets all the time.

If you're concerned at all about GMOs, you'd switch from Bolthouse to maybe Naked juice instead. I love Bolthouse Farms blends, but Campbell's bought them out. Campbells has laid down tons of $$$$$ fighting GMO-labelling requirements in multiple states. I don't know if Campbells has changed Bolthouse's standards/processes/requirements/etc, but makes me wonder...

Not really concerned about GMOs at this point. I like that Bolthouse Farms juices are flash pasteurized & they just taste better. Since this is all I get to take in I want to make sure it tastes good so I stick with it.

Avocado is a good source of fat - perhaps also PB, salmon, nuts etc.

What about ur other macros? What will you begin with? And will you be weighing everything or just eye balling?

Had to install 5 grade 8 washers for the middle bolts, it was hitting the front diff. Thanks for the silicone idea, worked great to hold the washers together and slid them on in one piece!!!!

At this point I don't have the answer to that. I've got plenty of time to sort all that out though since I've got like 56 days left on it.

I don't know how good the Harbor Freight one is but we've had a few digital ones from Ozeri and while the first one crapped out pretty early on this second one has been awesome. I guess the previous model was known to have issues and they addressed them in this new one and so far it rocks. It's less than $20 shipped too. Batteries seem to last forever and it's glass so if the better-half likes something that looks good this fits the bill. Here's the one I'm talking about.

We are talking about a scale to weigh the food.
