You just said it is procedure to call animal control. When was it procedure to become animal control? he didn't attack anyone or snap at anyone till the cop thought he was animal control.

So your saying you would have shot the dog before it attacked cause it barked at you? Cause it was showing aggression?

None of this makes any sense.

Common sense would dictate if it shows aggression don't approach it like a dumbass.

Why couldn't the owner have called someone to come pick the dog up? He wouldn't even need to be let out of handcuffs then.

Attempting to gain control was where his first mistake was made. He is not a trained animal handler dont try to handle it if you dont. And clearly he didnt until he tried to handle it.

I'm a dog lover through and through, but also as someone that has been attacked by a dog, I would not hesitate to put one down that's making moves at me like the one in the video. I probably would throw up afterwards though...

What if what if.. that's all I've been hearing a lot.. I'm talking about the situation that actually happened. The cop reached for the dog (the dog doesn't know he's reaching for the leash) which showed the dog a sign of agression. They could have just said "get your dog under control and call someone to pick it up"

No we just shoot them. Cause I mean they are just dogs. And how terrible is it for a dog to roam a neighborhood? That sounds so terrible!

And god forbid someone lives with those vile things! how can people live in unison with dogs? Sounds impossible! You people are acting as if a dog is Godzilla for Christ's sake. tearing down Tokyo.

Im not saying he made a bad decision after the dog attacked him. Im saying he made a bad decision by provoking the situation.

So letting a dog roam, that is only aggressive towards the cops because they have their owner, is now morally wrong?

Ok i just watched the video again. The dog stopped barking and showed no aggression till the cop reached for the dog twice!!!!!!!! and the cop didnt back away he straight up approached it and confronted it twice!!!!!!!! You can see the dog was smart the dog backed off and shut up until the cop reached for him twice.

I'm just saying if three or four cops can divert their attention for one man, the other situation is being handled just fine IMO
