The libertarian right is on the same side, but neither are looking for some absolution from the government, that's your need for absolution talking.

 

If we evolved from monkeys why are there still monkeys? Aligators have been on earth much longer than man. Why am I not seeing them walking and talking. The thing is we are here we exist. None of you know how we got here. But we are here. So this argument is a waste. Because the truth is unknow.

 

Why can't mosquitos talk? Have you read anything about evolution, my guess is no since your questions reflect zero knowledge of it.

Jesus spoke of sexual purity. Christians did not decide sexual immorality is a sin, God did.

I have opined that homosexuality is a choice...don't believe I've used the word perverted.

Murders and Pedophiles have feelings in their heart as well.

Really? Here we go again.. its called SARCASM. Maybe stupid people should read before making stupid comments. I think if youlook a few posts back you maybe able to read it.

Homosexuality is a sin. That's clearly defined in the bible. Check? Got it.
Stealing is a sin. Lying is a sin. Cheating is a sin. Taking The Lords name in vain is a sin. These are no different than any other.

Homosexuality is held to a different standard unfortunately because of our CULTURE. it's no different than the culturally heinous sins of Moses' time. It's easily identified, culturally taboo, and clearly defined as sin which unfortunately paints a target on those who participate in that sin. Now that target is hit consistently by.... You guessed it! Sinners! People who pass judgment on others and condemn and do nothing that The Lord commanded us to. We have no business passing judgement as Christians.

The scary part about the homosexuality movement is that it's the start of something that has the POTENTIAL to be incredibly heinous. By saying 'love is love' the fact is, somewhere down the line someone will make the argument that his love for an 8 year old boy is just as real as Jim and joes love, which is just as real as Jim and Kathy's love. To Christians, like myself, it's a scary slope to be on because what was normal to me, is going to be a VERY different thing than what is normal to my one year old daughter as she grows up. And those are the values that I held close growing up, so to see them decline and be minimalized so people can participate in what I know the bible says is sin is terrifying to me.

Now to answer your question Pete, no one can get into heaven without accepting Christ as their savior. But part of accepting Him is letting Him change your heart. My aunt is part of a ministry that walks with homosexuals lovingly though their struggle. She's seen countless men and women strive and achieve long lasting heterosexual marriages through it and those people all claim to be far happier and more complete than when they were gay.


A startling fact I learned in counseling: the man that trained me told me that every single homosexual he had ever counseled was sexually abused somewhere in their life. Sexual sin distorts sexuality. It's devastating and destructive to our core.

 

Slippery slope much?

 

That's exactly what I'm saying. We've justified one thing, how much longer til we do it again? I'm telling you, it's not an 'if', it's 'when'. It's already been tried, but our society isn't there yet. But 70 years ago homosexuals would have been ostrisized. Society is changing.

 

What if homosexuality isn't always a choice? How would you explain that in regard to it being a sin when maybe someone was born that way?

Not here to start a heated debate, just wanting to see what everyone thinks.
