Again you go on what some biased person says about homosexuality and sexual abuse. Do you have really data showing the sexual abuse homosexual cause/effect? Or is it more likely that predators prey on homosexual boys?

And we already have laws against sex with 8 year olds, you need not worry about that slippery slope, we are talking about consenting adults wanting to marry, not your uncle wanting to bang your 1 year old. Same sex marriage doesn't change that, or marriage with sheep.

That's not an interesting fact it is a very flawed correlation and correlation is not causation. I'm guessing that they were seeking "counseling" not because they were gay but because they were somehow psychologically hurt (possibly from said abuse). Not every gay person, just every gay person he counseled. That's like saying "every guy I counseled in prison had probably committed a crime". It's flawed. I'd guess that the majority of gay people are absolutely happy, as long as they can stay away from hatefilled bigots, and don't desire this "counseling" you speak of.

Also, the whole slippery slope argument is dumb. Saying something doesn't make it true. Consenting adults wanting to get married has absolutely nothing to do with molesting kids. That's stupid and offensive on so many levels. Pedophiles are pedophiles, enough said. Gay or straight. Nobody is ever going to make that argument. Since we allow people to drive cars are we one day going to legalize drunk driving or drive by shootings? No, that's stupid. Just like the slippery slope argument.

Yes, I agree. No person in their right mind would choose to put/take a dick in their ass. It doesn't make sense. But then again there are some who do choose that lifestyle just for the attention.

Allow me to rephrase that. I have absolutely nothing against gays or lesbians. I also have nothing against them being able to marry. I was simply saying the argument people use to say that everyone who is gay has chosen to be so is totally wrong. Not all gays/lesbians make that choice, some are born that way.

 

That's why I clarified that every person he counseled had that experience. Not saying that its every gay persons experience. But the fact remains, that's a lot of abused people who now have a sexuality that wasn't intended for them.

I have a very close family member who's gay, and it makes me sad for her because I know God has more for her. It's not that I disgust in what she's doing, I know she's selling herself short of the happiness god has for her. Do I think you can be happy in a gay relationship? Absolutely. Do I think that there's more happiness available to them in a heterosexual relationship? Absolutely.

And the slippery slope thing is very real. The mentality that 'love is love' is bound to lead us down that path.
