This is kinda long... I apologize in advance. The other day I replaced a squeaky brake caliper on my front driver side, then bled all the brake lines working from right rear to left rear to right front to left front. The brakes feel much smoother now and my squeak is corrected which is the good news.

Now, however, it sounds like a squealing (almost like a worn belt in the engine would sound) is coming from the right rear. It almost blends in with the road noise but is definitely something weird. When i try to roll down windows the wind noise is too loud to get a better location, and so far it has been at speeds a little too fast to have someone walking/ running beside the truck trying to identify.

Also, the sounds seems to get higher pitched the slower i go, which is usually related to braking but does not seem to be related to the brake intensity. Its almost as if pressure is building and building (i.e. a tea pot on the stove type thing) and then the sound goes away when i get down to around 5-8 mph.

My rear brakes have been kinda squeaky after the truck sits for more than a few hours, but that usually stops within a few minutes of driving. i dont think it is related but i have no evidence to support this.

I have not yet put it up on blocks to try and reproduce the issue, may try that w/in the next week.

Would anything done while bleeding the brakes have created this issue? I'd hate to take it to a shop for something simple as clean the area, drain more fluid, etc.

Did you lube all the contact points front and rear? Aside from the friction side of the pads of course.

I have not lubed anything... What would that process entail for the rear brakes?

Any metal contact on front and rear brakes need lubed to prevent brake squeal. It helps prevent metal vibration which is what makes it squeal.

On the fronts you would lube the back of the pads, the outer parts that slide into the guides. Any metal contact.

Its been a while since ive been in the rear brakes, but again any metal contact points.

This diagram show what grease & where to lube on the rear brakes. Hope it helps.
