What Have You Done To Your 2nd Gen Tacoma Today?

oops didn't realize there was a plug.... Now trying to decide if I want to remove the mud flaps or not. It appears the drivers front has caused a stress crack on a fender flare that I am going to have to get repaired.

 

If you drain the oil before removing the filter, much less oil to drip out of the filter

 

do it. at least do the front! idk if you have seen them, but when driving they are almost toughing the doors. they seam stiff, but when driving they are flopping around. the rear are not to bad. but they still do it. but they also will scrape and may break if you go over a curb.

Really doesn't look that good. Maybe if you had more red trim on the truck it would at least match... but I don't mean to paint the grille red.

 

Fail on the RHLM

 

Just did it and put them back on them trimmed them.... When removed there is a fine line in the paint that will not come out. Even took a buffer to it to see nope still noticeable. So I trimmed them back 5" and put them back on the front. Left the rear alone.

 

Put in a K&N filter to boost it just that little bit. No need for a cold-air intake where mine goes. Good times.

 

now trying to decide where to mount the ultra gauge. Let me rephrase. I know where I want to mount it but how is going to be the interesting part.

I changed the oil to Mobil 1. I washed and vacuumed. I also plasti dipped eye lid on my headlights. Not sure if I like it though. Ill give it a couple days.

 

Man, get some flexible ones aftermarket. RokBlokz.com has a nice kit, there's several universals you can drill and mount, Plasticolor.

For me today was the Yellow Wire Mod (YWM) that enables the TRAC and VSC in 4LO for those of us that are non-TRD OffRoad.

Also took the Black Lab through the car wash, that sure modified the stench from the interior. Odd how she doesn't mind getting soaped and rinsed at the car wash, but she runs like a demon was after her when I turn on the hose . . . .

Filled it up with gasoline and towed my boat to a lake and then retrieved my boat after catching a couple fish then towed my boat home.

I'm hoping my wife gets scared of the truck once I get the blower installed like she did of the last FI truck I had.

She drives stick real well, but she was scared as hell of the power that blower put out...
