We already know that evolution is a real thing. I think it's just do you believe that God is the creator or not really. I know evolution occurs but I don't believe that the fish eventually became the monkey if you will but rather separate species such as primates and fish were created and they changed to better suit their environment. This is called adaptation if you look at it only short term but root species do evolve into more diverse species which is considered evolution. You can look at the homologous and non homologous bone structures of different kinds of animals and know that they are very different down to their fundamental design. if you look at the design of a bats wing and compare it to the wing of a bird their structures are actually quite different. i think that that points to a difference in the two creatures from the beginning of their existence. So in short I say both. Just my .02. This is the longest post I have ever written in my life:p

    I'm glad for you.

maybe during your next 25 years, you will have the misfortune of seeing the pain that can come from some who choose a lifestyle of sexual sin.

we have played this game in the past. moral heterosexuality requires no choice. homosexuality is a sexual sin and is a choice. ...much like a choice to engage in heterosexual sin.

    What is "free will"?

If your thoughts and actions are monitored by God 24/7, do you really have "free will"? Does God convict and punish you for "thought crimes"? Is thinking something the same as doing it? Jesus said, if you look at a woman while thinking lustful thoughts, you've already had sex with her. Isn't that being judged and punished for "thought crimes"?

How can "free will" even exist if it's provided at the discretion of someone else? If it can be given and taken away it's not "free" and it's not yours.

Is someone truly free to "choose" to love God if the only other choice they're given is the promise of eternal pain and suffering? This isn't choice, this is coercion. If someone says "Give me your love or I'll light you on fire," is that really a choice? In that circumstance would you feel you had "free will" to make any choice other than the one you're told will keep you out of the fire? It's not a freely arrived at choice if the only other option is eternal torture.

What does "free will" mean, if it means anything at all?

Does "free will", as religions like to use that term, provide genuine thoughtful choices when deciding whether any of these claims, including loving the version of God a particular religion has created, make sense, if according to them the only other option is everlasting torture?

Isn't the "Love me or I'll use you for firewood for all of eternity" concept at the opposite end of the spectrum from what "free will" actually should be?

    Just sayin'.....

You seem to think people choose their sexual preference

What about homosexuality in the animal kingdom , do the animals decide for themselves too ?

I don't think Sasquatch is among the observed species , but it's entirely possible

Before anyone bitches about the Wiki link , all the supporting references are there but none of the the " homosexuality is a sin " crowd is going to read them anyway , so I'm not going to waste too much effort on that

I see it a lot with homosexuals... And heterosexuals in the form of unintentional kids with crazy mothers.

    reported for cursing...
The word hermaphrodite comes from Hermaphroditus, the name given to the son of the ancient Greek gods Hermes and Aphrodite. According to mythology, Hermaphroditus was so loved by the nymph Salmacis that she prayed they could be united as one person — and literally got her wish. The two were transformed into one being who was both male and female.
