I simply needed a windshield put in, ok? The insurance co. recommended this idiot so I used him. (I just moved and didn't really know who to use, that's why I listend to them:notsure:) I had this done 2 days ago and just drove the truck today. There is so much wind noise it's retarded. Called the guy and he acted like he didn't even remember doing the freaking truck.......(how many windshields you put in for hot girls in hot trucks:der:)
So now he tells me he can just put some more of that black junk around the windshield...........Won't he have to take the windshield out to get it sealed properly!?? AND when did they start putting windshield in at your workplace and home? Shouldn't this be done in a shop? I live on the side of a freakin mountain!!??:frusty:

He needs to remove it and re do it. Call the insurance company and tell them its F'ed up! The dude that did it will try any band aid fix he can, as the cost is gonna come out of his pocket. Make sure its fixed right. FWIW, I never use who the insurance company "recomends".

Shitty deal. I have had my windshield done a few times at my house and work but never any messed up like that. Have you sprayed it with the hose to see if it leaks? Call the company who put it in and tell them you need it re-done with another installer.... If he's the only installer/owner/jackass call your insurance company and demand another...

Part of the problem is they never clean out the windshield valley. They sort of wipe the dirt out when they take the windshield out but they make no effort to remove the old rubber or silicone sealer. If you can get the guy to clean it out to where it's as clean as the rest of your truck, the installation goes very smoothly. They also need to clean out the rubber trim before they re-install it. The other problem is a lot of these guys are just hacks, they don't care, they have never owned a nice car or truck.

It would have been but there is no level ground at my house. He was old and short. He just could not handle the windshield, it was to much and he was sloppy. There is black junk on the top of the truck,

While ya'll were begging for pics.....I was on the phone w/ins co:rant: and they said if he did not agree to take it out and redo it, to just take it somewhere of MY CHOICE and they would pick up the tab.
