If you really wanted to do it right, I would save up for a more quality suspension, such as OME, the Toytec ULK, or even a Icon setup. The ride with 5100's at 1.75'' or 2.5'' is pretty rough, because you are preloading the coils.

If you are wanting to add a plate bumper/skids/winch/etc in the future, I would go with the full OME setup (about $730 with an AAL in the rear, or about $1100 with the Dakar full leaf pack in the rear) and OME 886's. The Toytec ULK is about $1000, and depending on which Icon setup you go with, it starts at around $1500.

I had Icons on my 4Runner prior to the Tacoma and loved them. I put an OME on the Taco since I had it on my Landcruiser, good but not as nice as ICON. Once the OME shocks wear out, I am going back to ICON or possibly King.

My exact setup I am going to run. I wanted more travel and was going for a higher speed off road setup. You could save some by going wit normal coilovers and stock uca but if it helps

That bumper is pretty sweet looking. Can you still get a winch in there with the light bar installed?

That was my first concern, but it looks like the mount for a winch is low enough.

Looks great Calvin. Every time I see a rack on a taco it makes me want one...until I realize it would be useless for me.

Thanks so much for the replies Matt and others!

I guess it's back to the drawing board as this is the truck of my dreams , literally... And I hate doing things half assed...

A local off road shop quoted me something along the lines of $1500 for a OME lift...

I'm just so poor ... Need new tires for the winter so that upgrade will happen I guess I was just looking for a cheap way to level...
