I have a wedding coming up and am going to purchase a suit. Im 25 and finally the size ill be for a few years, haha. So i'm looking at getting an all purpose and lasting suit. Theres something about a suit that makes you feel and look good. I like wearing a suit but haven't in years.

I decided to pull the trigger on (I'm going to catch flak for this) an Armani. I found one for a decent price and I have to say they are extremely comfortable!
I could wear one all day and it not feel like a chore. I can definitely see why people who wear suits daily would buy an Armani.

So what do you guys have? What brands do you recommend?

I went with a Tommy Hilfiger sport coat and pants. Very comfortable. I wanted a suit I could wear for multipurpose so I went the sport coat route vs full suit. I had an Italian suit before with the short jacket that you wore with a silk shirt with the chinese collar. I loved that suit.

Just one? Get a few, man haha I get that different people have different needs for them but I wear a suit a minimum of 1-2 times a week and see the same people so I need a few.

Also, if you want to mix it up for cheaper than a few suits get about give shirts and five ties or so and you can have a different look each time you wear it. Sometimes Express has pretty steep sales or you can just check out whatever local men's stores you have.

Did you get black, grey, or other? Ha

Getting a black light pinstripe. Haven't bought it yet. But as soon as i make it stateside im purchasing it. They were selling the fact I could use it as a blazer too. I really liked it. Good idea on the multiple ties and shirts. Maybe ill buy another different colored suit next year.

When I had to wear them for work everyday, I just bought a couple from Pennys off the rack. I had the jackets altered to fit better and they lasted for a while.
Now the only suit I wear to work is camouflage.

Every man needs a good 'Marry and Bury' suit. I have a nice black suit, can't remember the brand but I've had it for years and it still looks new. A quality suit is a good investment.

    ^This.

2 suits (black and grey or blue) with a handful of shirts that work with both (white, shades of grey, shades of blue) and as many ties as you can stomach (matching pocket squares if you want to impress). If you wear them daily, you can mix and match (grey slacks w/ black jacket, etc) and no one will ever know that you only own 2 suits. Apparently, it's cool now to wear brown shoes with grey suits.
*Just some advice that was crammed down my throat from my fashionista ex-girlfriend.

One other. It's fine to own a black suit. I have a three piece I wear for nicer occasions that I really like. Just keep in mind that it's kind of considered a "power suit" sort of thing. Something to keep in mind for job interviews or the like in the future. There is a certain suit etiquette one should look into. Button the top button, unbutton when you sit down, don't mix shoe/belt color, etc.

    Enjoy it, man :)

I've seen you visit the Middle East every so often, have them hook you up with a linen suit next time and you won't regret it. They're meant to be a little more casual so they won't be a super tight form fit but they are really comfortable. Just make sure you're getting good quality linen, not the cheap scratchy garbage.

I had one made similar to this for $250, linen only though they didn't have the fancy blend. http://www.esquire.com/style/fashion-story/dressed-down-suit-spring-summer-2013-9#slide-9

I don't know the availability of linen suits in the States as I never had a reason to but I'm sure they are around. Good for beach weddings, semi-formal dinners in the summer/spring, etc.

Picked up my suit today! Fit was amazing. Definitely impressed with the comfort of Armani. Ill post pics later. I ended up getting a shirt from them as well. It was a blue and white striped was stylish but not flashy.

Most of the other places I went I couldn't find and shirts that weren't too flashy or bland.

Ended up picking up some shoes and a belt up from pennies.

    Kind of excited about it!

I wear a suit so seldom I actually had to go to U-tube t learn how to tie a proper Windsor knot! My only suit came from Men's Wearhouse, and I've lost 80 lbs since then. I'll need to buy another one next time I need one. Maybe I'll spring for something decent then.
