What rims do you other 5 Luggers have? Where did you get 'em? Pics if you have them handy plz.

With the limited selection available out there it's hard to choose, or find one I really like. I don't plan to lift and don't want to kill the mpg. Hoping to find nice 16" rims, possibly for some Goodyear Fortera 215/70-16s or 225/70-16s I've been looking at. Even factory sized 15s would be better than the std steel rims that come factory.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but from my research I believe prerunners and xrunners are 6 luggers.

    Thanks.

That could be true, I'll have to look  . I based my info off the toyota web site and the 16" wheel picture that is displayed for the x-runner showed 6 lugs. Guess it's probably just a generic picture of the rim.

Anyone else out there have 16" wheels on their 5 lugger?

X-runner comes with 18" wheels. It IS true. Look at the last picture here.

That is a speedway blue X-runner. 5 lugs very visible.

OK, the horse is dead :D. Thanks for your inputs.

Anyone else have ideas for aftermarket wheels? Myself I'm still in search for a set of good 16" rims.

Rims from a Camry or Sienna should fit. I think there are16 and 17's out there.
For those who might say put CAR wheels on a TRUCK?
Check the weights on the Camry and Sienna.;)
Camry V-6 is almost as heavy as a 5-lug and the Sienna IS heavier.

I'm finding that the wheel size I'd want for my 5 lug Taco simply does not exist, and it's really frustrating. The whole problem is with the offset/backspacing. The style of wheel I like is similar to Crager Soft 8s posted above, however, rims like that are only made with an offset of +6 or lower. Based on my measuring, anything lower than a +20 or so will stick out from the fender, risk rubbing, and not be street legal. Most aftermarket wheels with a positive offset are designed for sport/compact cars and don't look right on a truck. :p

i have the cragar soft 8's and they stick out of the fender maybe an inch or so the only rubbing i had was very minimal on the caliper but you can either A- grind the OUTSIDE of the caliper about a hair, or B- ( which is what i did ) drive it around the block and the rim will grind the caliper down which isnt going to hurt a thing.[IMG]

Thanks a bunch for posting that view. I assume those are the +6 offset Cragars? Chances are that these are the wheels I'm going to go with next year, along with a 235/70/15 tire.

i think the backspace was 4.5 or somethin and those are the 235's so that should work without a lift
