I would put some airtools to work. Sometimes they will grab and hold due to speed of tools

 

I had a great 4th. But today sucks I was out till 5am and had work at 7:45. On 4th red bull. And I'm getting to the point that I don't care about cars I'm just hammering stuff on with 700ft lbs. have fun getting lugs off by hand

 

Got to tool around on a 100cc Honda dirt bike yesterday in a retired quarry. That was fun!

 

Holy effin hot! Spent the last three hours in respirator, long pants and shirt, hat, gloves... Blasting those effin sliders again. At coffee shop recharging, the down to linex : D

 

Even just walkin outside is ridiculous. Christ!

 

How about working your ass off with a shop that's flooded with work. I had to do wheel bearing inner and outer along with seals on a kenworth outside in the parking lot. Talk about HOT.

 

Chose the wrong profession then, eh?

Thats rough. At least you weren't wearing a tyvek suit. Lately i have been helping out at the marina, woking in a 100* hoop house with a tyvek suit, respirator and rubber gloves on, there is fiberglass dust everywhere so i need to suit up completely. I drink about 2 gallons of water on those days. Today i was in the shop with the AC blasting

 

That blows. I used to have to wear a similar get up for spray foam.

 

Nope I love what I do. Flipping burgers Is a profession?

 

When I get to friends house I'm jumping in pool with all clothes on

 

Work at 7/11 now. And yes, according to McDonald's, burger flipping can require a college degree

What did I do

 

Been vinyl siding for three weeks. Kind of conditioned to it now. The first job had no shade at all. It sucked. The boss spent a night at RIH to get hydrated. Heat stroke bad. His bp was 60/40 and he drove himself to the hospital. Stubborn hardcore old school bastid. He's ok now. Just finished second.one today. I keep a cooler well stocked with cold stuff. Hope it cools down a little by Tuesday when I go back to my real job. Wouldn't want to put the gear on in this weather. Stay cool bro's

 

Just got back from day 1 at Lime Rock. Damn it was hot as hell at the track today. Track surface temp was 130F.

 

I was on a big state job 2 years ago, the vinyl guys ran all their seems and ends to tight, then we got a heat wave and about 30 houses had problems with the siding buckling, it was a mess haha. Gotta keep them pretty tight in this weather though to allow for a lot of contraction in the winter. The same heat wave we had alot of guys get heat stroke. The worse day in south western CT the heat index was over 130 i think actual temp got up to 112 in westport. We were all framing are asses off. That one day there was only me and two other guys who made it through the day. Every morning when its this hot i bring my 2 gallon water jug, buy a gallon of water and a pound of ice in the morning and i drink it all by quitting time. I weighed 30 lbs less than i do now that summer haha.
