I noticed my tacoma rear sitting about 2 inches lower on the driver side, crawl under and the center leaf is broke with about a 6 inch section missing, it is broke at the axle. The taco is stock, ive never wheeled it and when i bought it 2 years ago there was no evidence It was abused.
How much can i safely drive like this?
Im looking for replacements now, obviously a new set from toyota is out of the question as they are $750. Next cheapest is a aftermarket pack ( old man emu) for around $450. Problem is they give a 2 inch lift and my taco is stock. Would i be able to drive safely lifted 2 inches in the rear and stock height in the front?
Another option is finding something used on the forums or craigslist but im not finding any near me.

You can drive like that but you will look stupid but you could install 5100s up front to lvl it out and then get some bigger tires and fix your problem and look cool ;)

Doesn't sound safe at all. IF you had to drive it, it should be directly to the shop to get new leafs. Better option would be to use a different vehicle to go get some new leafs and install yourself.

To be clear I was saying you could drive it uneven if you got the larger packs..
You should not drive it in a broken leaf

X2 glad I double checked what I said after you posted

Wheeler's Off Road sells an HD leaf spring replacement for the Tacoma. OME leafs will be too tall if you're going to leave the front stock.

Im in york pa, judging by your user name you are too far, thanks tho

Kinda irritated here, i understand stuff breaking if wheeling or abusing it, the most off road this truck sees is my gravel driveway. Good to know i cant drive on it, i think its been broke for a while the broken ends still attached have a good bit of rust.

    Wheelers or OME.

In regards to the OME packs, I would call ARB because I think they make a stock replacement leaf spring pack. I could be wrong though, but its worth a try. Another cheaper option would be a salvage or junk yard. Hope you find what you need!

Drive it like that until the rest of it goes flying, and kills someone. Or keep driving until it rips off your brake hose, and you pole into some innocent people.

Why don't you go to a local spring shop? They can arc you a piece of the correct size spring for probably under $100, installation should only be a few hours with "hand tools" or much quicker with a floor jack, air impact gun and oxy-fuel gas torch. (I run mine on propane...)

Call Alcan and have them make you a set at stock ride height, there are no good aftermarket springs that dont offer any lift. The closest is North west offroad and they lift 3/4". Wheeler stock ride height springs are junk regardless of who makes them. Supposedly Alcan. They only have a one year warranty and most have broke right after from what i have read.

not trying to be rude, but can you back that up? I run the aal kit and will remove if they have been having problems with their spring manufacturer

I would love to know where you're getting that kind of information from. Never heard of people breaking the stock-replacement leafs offered by Wheeler's because I don't recall them being around all that long...

I didnt say there add a leaf was junk, i said there stock height leaf packs are not of very good quality. The are suppose to be made by Alcan but they are a cheap replacement pack that doesnt hold up very well. There are numerous reviews about them breaking in short periods of time, they have a short warranty and will probaly be flat in no time. I have been researching this for a while now as i need new suspension also.

I ran their AAL for a long time before selling it to someone else. I haven't heard anything bad about their leaves and I've had EXCELLENT experiences with Wheelers.
