First Tacoma

Just purchased my first Tacoma about a week ago. It is a Silver Streak Mica 2007 DBL CAB LG BED with the TRD Sport and SR5 packages. The truck was purchased by the previous owner in August 07. The previous owner traded the truck on a Subaru. The truck is only 6 months old with 5800 miles on it. I pretty much have the full factory warranties on it. I paid 25750 for the truck which came to 26950 out the door. This dealer really did not know what they had. When I arrived to look at the truck I discovered that the truck had many options that were not listed on the website:

17" wheels, 400w plug in the bed, automatic dimming rear view mirror, upgraded sport seats, compass and digital temperature gauge in over-head console, color keyed mirrors and bumper, and the upgraded suspension.

I later found out through research that the truck has the TRD sport and the SR5 package. Hence all of the options I just listed.

One strange thing though. I have verified that the truck has every option listed for the TRD Sport and the SR5 package but the truck does not have the TRD decal on the side and does not have the hood scoop. I don't really care for the hood scoop anyway. But the truck does have the SR5 badge on the tailgate.

 

Yes. I looked under the truck a few days ago and noticed the LSD Oil Only sticker on the rear axle. I think the TRD package takes care of the TSB because I do have 4 leaf springs on the rear with the Bilstein shocks.

I just checked again and it appears that the previous owner already had the TSB done because there are 4 springs on the rear.

Welcome to TW. Maybe the previous owner swapped out the hood because they didn't like the scoop and took off the stickers.
