I hope so, I'm back to halogens and it's like someone turned off the lights! :goingcrazy: I had considered (and even mentioned above) not putting the projectors back into the truck but rather on the bike but after a week of not having them, I definitely miss them!

Just got off the phone with TRS. I have a new trick to get the solenoids so they don't stick, a new reflector bowl coming (warranty) and I had to buy another shroud (I must have over-tightened one of them on my original install because it was cracked when I took it apart).

Decisions, decisions... Tear down the truck again and put the kit back in the truck or give the bike a badass lighting upgrade

Be sure to post that up with photos if you can.

I'm not looking forward to opening my housings up again, and if I do, I definitely want to fix it right. I've just been avoiding using my high beams.

Will do, Adam told me to bend the 'ears' near the solenoid to 90 degrees and that helps free up operation and reduces the chance of them sticking on the high beams. I was away all weekend so I wasn't able to do anything with them. Once I figure out what 'ears' he was talking about and get everything fixed, I'll take pictures and post up.

EDIT: Did some searching and found this on HID Planet. This is the fix TRS mentioned regarding the shield sticking in the high beam position:

I'm about to wire up my kit. Only question I have is how does the high beam activate on the passenger side? I can't figure out how to connect the solenoid to the harness.

The passenger OEM plug is unused with these kits. You plug the kit into the driver's side plug and TRS's wiring harness controls both headlights. The TRS wiring harness is pretty self explanatory, it should have come with stickers on every lead telling you what plugs into what.

    Two connectors on the harness.
The one that says "Projector" plugs into the high beam solenoid. The other one plugs into the ballast and the ballast plugs into the light.

Cut off the grounding lugs on the harness and SOLDER the harness onto a piece of 12ga wire. Run that back and ground it to the lug by the battery with the rest of your body ground items. The bolts on the radiator support are very unreliable ground sources, and 9 times out of 10, problems with HID installations are due to bad grounding.

Thanks for the advice..I will definitely cut the ground and run it back to the ground near the battery.

Do both (2) of the silicone o-rings get use for the projector installation? I'm find that if I use both, I cannot get the last ring (that holds the bulb in place) screwed down tight enough to keep the bulb firmly seated.

You use one silicone ring on each projector.

Ok, because the projectors came with 2 per (minus the large one for the front in the bowl). I couldn't see how someone could use 2 on the backside. I used 1 that mates up against the bulb.

Oh, I thought you were talking about the large ones for the front of the bowl... I'm not sure what you have in your kit. I don't remember another set of washers.

    Thanks Rich!

My roommate convinced me to install his used minis and I had no idea which harness to get considering they are coming out of an Acura. haha
