thinkin about bed lining the rocker panels on my truck today. would I need to sand them? or just tape and newspaper everything I don't want bed lined? and then spray away

If you want the best mechanical adhesion, here are notes I took directly from a conversation I had with a Raptor Liner rep:

Thanks! Im not gonna be using raptor liner though. Im gonna use the duplicolor bed armor if I do it. The main reason for even doing it, is I have so many rock chips on my rocker panels it looks like crap when I wash it. Idk if I wanna do it though
Edit: I guess I would basically use the same steps though

Yeah... for best results I'd imagine the process is much the same.

If you read the Bed Armor can it essentially just tells you to wipe it down with a Duplicolor Prep Wipe then spray the Bed Armor.

I'm not exactly sure how well that would hold up.

I'd give you feed back on my bed rack I Bed Armor'd but I haven't even really put anything on it yet.

I used it on my tool box and then went on a little bit of a wheelin trip to Georgia and quite a few branches hit it and it didn't take any off. but its dusty as all get out now and water will not get the dust color off it haha

yes sand them , you can use a lower grit too like 120. you cant see sand scratches through bed liner.

I got 7 of these wooden ammo boxes for free from my boss.

    00w0w_aAo8RSCHayT_600x450_zps57554f6b_5db4c6786084d089bbe064fa0cd5b284f2a3e0c5.jpg

Put them on craigslist to barter and someone traded me their RKI toolbox for them.

    null_zpsfacae389_10acb87d8cde9d6ad0efc157d55b050b7830aab7.jpg

Fits perfect in my truck. My mind set was to trade it to maybe get something bigger to cash out for sliders or a bumper but seeing it in person and how much nicer it is than my other homemade one, I'm kinda liking it. So from wanting a tool box to two free tool boxes in the past 2 weeks. I'll probably just trade my other one, see if I get hits on that one. :woot:

Replaced drivers side front axle due to inner boot blow out two weeks ago. Replaced the inner boot with all pro long travel boot before putting on the truck. Took me about 3hrs.

Thanks, I thought it turned out nice. Didn't change much from the original, but this one is better.
