    Two types of stuttering. There is popping where you have too much wore speed and too low of voltage causing the arc to be really short. Second is wire is too slow and the voltage is high causing the arc to be long and thus melting the wire before it has a chance to make it to the puddle. It is finding that happy medium. Then it is adjusting it to get the proper penetration for the metal you using.

    That was a vertical weld going down. And stacked dimes is a TIG thing. Mig can look like it but it also varies from machine to machine also the angle your work at

    05 Taco with some crap welded to it
    mostly stock
    1) unplug machine
    2) Open side case up
    3)unscrew the bolt holding the leads on, and reverse them
    4)weld mostly spatter free.

    This is common practice in the flux core world. I'll bet you a beer your manual even advises it.

    Ugh the wife really needs to learn proper vehicle care. I got in it this morning and just about puked, leather seats have crumbs all over, carpets are sticky, and the exterior had three layers are dirt and grime...... going to be a long day working on her car

    Pisses me off she has a 40k car and she treats out like a 5k car

    All depends on how they are designed. I have 450 watts RMS driving my two 12's and they hit hard, yet there are some top end 8's out there that my amp wouldn't even budge. My guess is that alpine you bought requires more watts to drive than what you currently have. My 12's are a little under powered due to my car's alternator not being able to keep up and it causes them to fade a little on loud hits and they respond a little slower, but it's hardly noticable. I get 2-3 volts drops on hard hits, but it's still not enough to cause the headlights to dim so no biggie.
    My interior is thrashed right now... I keep going and playing in the dunes so I don't bother cleaning it out. It's pretty damn dusty...

    A type R sub is a 500w rms sub. Your amp wired in a single channel is like 112w rms and bridged w as like 200somthing.

    Wayyyyyyy under powered man you'd way a 6-900w rms amp for a type r to hit awesome and sound good.
