You may define God as "the Creator," but not everyone does.

In religious belief a deity is a supernatural being, entity or concept who may be thought of as holy, divine, or sacred. Religious followers are taught to believe that the deity or deities their religion worships are true. Many believe they can communicate with these deities who may, if they wish, respond supernaturally. Some religions have one supreme deity, others have multiple deities of various ranks.

A deity has been defined as "a being with powers greater than those of ordinary humans, but who interacts with humans, positively or negatively, in ways that carry humans to new levels of consciousness beyond the grounded preoccupations of ordinary life."

Deities are depicted in a variety of forms, some expressed as having human form. Certain faiths and traditions consider it blasphemous to imagine or depict the deity they worship as having any concrete form.

Deities are often thought to be immortal, and are commonly assumed to have personalities and possess consciousness, intellect, desires, and emotions comparable but usually superior to those of humans.

A male deity is a God, a female deity a Goddess.

Even within the context of what passes today for Religious Christianity world wide, the wide variety of thought attached to the concept of God, and how that thought influences those who cling to it, is staggering to contemplate.

Show us US Census bureau numbers. Citing an obviously biased source negates your statement, as well as the proof I have seen from homosexual couples I personally know. Unfortunately I don't vacation with any of them, so I probably don't know much about it.

Hate it when that happens. Obviously, I believe in creation, but I am not going to get in a knock down drag out fight about it, nor am I going to insult/threaten someone who disagrees. I prefer the methods used by Paul - he reasoned/persuaded. Once you get to the point where angry barbs/insults are exchanged, you have reached the point where neither side is being respectful and nothing is being accomplished either way.

And I know a lot of gay couples too, some happy, some not. And you and I knowing a few couples between us hardly makes a dent in a poll as large as the frc did.

 

The reality of the consequences of our own actions is totally unaffected by what anyone believes. Everyone gets them regardless.

First up the Family Research Council is hardly going to sway my opinion on anything....Considering the societal penchant for treating same sex couples as second rate - I have a hard time believe statistics that claim to put married same sex and traditional couple on the same plane.

First up-That phrase is OPTIONAL. Second-Belief in a god doesn't give automatic credit for creation.
