These two pics pretty much sum up the trip. Driving into the dark abyss of storms, leaving the blue skies behind

Also saw a badger - I can't remember seeing one in the wild before. It scurried across the road as I drove by and then just as I got parallel to it it turned around, faced the truck, got all bristly and started shuffling backwards and hissing at me. Nasty little creatures for sure!

I eat 5 or 6 meals a day myself. Along with a healthy dose of exercise I have managed to lose 80 pounds in the last 11 months. 60 more pounds to go. So far life is getting a whole lot better. I have a heart stress test scheduled for this Tuesday. I actually have been studying for the test. ;) Consists of me on a treadmill at 4mph and an incline level of 12. I have not been using the treadmill the last 2 months so I thought I needed to use one before the test.

hahahaha! That's pretty funny lol. I like that. British accents drive my deaf brain crazy. It's weird.

First season was good, but second season, quality went way down hill and it's not nearly as clean as the first season. :( Hulu is great, they have captions on most stuff that I'd like to see, so it's great.

If you like Robin hood type stuff, watch Leverage (TNT - not on Hulu). Pretty good show.

All the NPS units are over 400 now... You'd have quite the adventure visiting them all, I'd love to do that myself. Start by visiting my park :p

As Lisa said, TMI! At least I'm fully clothed.

you're all weird. so am I. that's the definition of human. wait until I teach you guys the signs for weird, stupid, and awkward.

 Nice pictures, Lisa! Your truck looks really clean - and the pink Toyota is unique as well. The road picture, I like...

what? that you all don't wear pants often or that I'm weird? :D

Keep up the good work! You and OTG have been on a crusade over the last year or so.

So if we all start talking in fake accents at the meet you'll hate us? :D
I think I watched a couple of episodes of Leverage a while back. Didn't really catch on
I know there's a lot of parks...figure if I start in AK with Denali in the summer and then hit the northern states after that. Southern states in the winter. Could happen.
I like my decals too. Makes it easy to spot my truck in the sea of white Tacos up here!

Some yes some no. Minor tweaks when needed. Most of what I post here is straight out of the camera though

How does your mom know sign language??? Is she an interpreter?

Yeah, probably, accents drive me crazy.

Yeah, sure would be fun. Have a friend who is a Law Enforcement Ranger in Denali. Pretty fun job.

Went to Denali once...didn't actually get to see the mountain though, too cloudy. 9 hours in a plane that day and I didn't even get to see the damn mountain!

    Well, she tried.

no. just flew all day in a tiny plane to visit. almost landed on a grizzly bear that day. that was the funniest part of that trip...
we had to stop to refuel and just as we were approaching the strip this big bear comes out of the bushes at the end, looks up at us as we flew over his head and then kept on eating. My FIL got on the radio and announced to other pilots in the area that there was a bear on the runway. I burst out laughing...not gonna hear that comment too many times in your life!
