Noise in middle of cab, something rattling around as I turn

Ok. This is absolutely driving me frakking nuts. I have some sort of metal-type sound going on, and I cannot for the life of me find it.

It sounds like something just behind the passenger seat, possibly under the back passenger seat is moving around. When I turn sharp and go over speedbumps (daily in my complex) it rattles around. It sounds like metal, and it appears whatever is loose is now looser, as it happens more often now. I've removed everything. Jack and clips, even the vent under the passenger seat for AC.. Cannot for the life of me figure it out.

I might get my phone out and try to record the sound for you guys. Could it be outside the car on the under-carriage. If so, where could I take it for someone to take a look?

    Thanks!

What happens if you stand on the door sill and rock the truck side to side?

Haven't tried that yet.. where you going with that? haha. I'll go try it

I don't think it is a seat bracket.. I have no clue though. I've tried to feel around on the floor, shake the rear seats, and a few other things with no luck. I'm hoping someone's experienced something similar at some point and can throw out suggestions. Maybe I'll have to come to one of these Vegas meetups

Spring a ma bobber? How can I find it and check?

It happens when the truck has no passengers, and when it does. I've found no specific time it wont' make the noise. Hear it every time i drive.

Roll the windows down and see if it gets louder. and vise versa, have them up and compare. Narrow it down helps.

haha. I'll try that and the rocking truck by standing on door sill thing in a few minutes and try to narrow it down. It's soo irritating.

Are you seats manual? Like you gotta pull the lever to move them forward and back, pretty sure it's spring operated, IDK it was just a thought :D

Oh.. yea they have the lever.. it isn't that. I've felt under there and pretty sure it isn't coming from the seat. It sounds like it's under the back rear passenger side.

I tried that.. Didn't notice the sound at all. It mainly happens on speed bumps or while turning (and going over those dips in road while turning)
I'm now thinking this could be outside of truck. Checking that next.

It's not that. I removed everything this weekend. Everything..

I know right. I've even removed the vents under the passenger seat and everything trying to figure it out. Driving me insane. I just tried rocking the truck.. now thinking it might be on the outside, and only when moving. So could be shock, spring related or something.

    Process of elimination:

Take EVERYTHING out from seats, under seats, behind seats, in seat pockets etc that isn't screwed down. Then check all screws to make sure they are tight.

Have someone drive your truck while you sit in the back. Look, listen feel, FIND the sound.

If it's outside, good luck.. I have no advice other than try to narrow down the sound as much as possible and look underneath for anything that might be loose or causing the sounds.

Sounds annoying as fuck. Good luck!

Once my dads car had a rattle that he could not find and was driving him crazy. Finally found it, a metal tag plate had broke loose on the exhaust and was caught between the cat. conv. and the heat shield. Just a suggestion on things to look for. If you have skid plates check to see if something is there??

I had a large, almost perfectly round, stone rolling side to side atop my IFS skid for a long while before it magically came out by itself. Just a thought.
