So, some minor modifications are in order but should have it done up soon.

So, I got too many projects going on. Took a step back and focusing on the skidplate. KCDuran came over and helped me test fit it:

    IMG_5081_zps400daa1c_90d98c00b931d5c7d6d0c5a7255fd9e4a7ef6073.jpg

Need to take roughly 1" off the front lip for it to bolt up to the Elite bumper. Could use some more bend to front bracket piece too but unsure I can do that without a good machine shop.

I'm digging the bare metal look. Once I get it modified to fit, going to run it unpainted for awhile.

I figure I'll run it unpainted for awhile until I want to see what black would look like. Best of both worlds. :)

I still have to get the front lip cut down so it'll mount right with the bumper. Hoping to get that done tomorrow.

The captured valve stem caps are seriously one of the best bang for the buck mods ever. Was so nice not having to juggle the deflators and the valve stem caps.

The brass thing is the deflator. Look right above that and you'll see a valve cap that is tethered to the valve. That's what I be talking about. So nice not to have to juggle them while holding the deflators.

It is the little things... ;)

A'ight, suckas! I've been working on another project (an old Ampeg guitar amp) and with the extra long weekend, I got back to working on the truck.

So, I got this ARB compressor and this cruise control bracket:
    IMG_5060_zpsde50526b_c942e7150428b3cb8eea7d6f54a49f11c80f390c.jpg

Got creative with a drill and a dremel tool and mated the two together:

    IMG_5254_zps591fb703_3d7b09807edad8c6a8525847b466cc8f9899f2cc.jpg

    IMG_5255_zpsff886706_a1093d0661962d9cf4ca892197daeafc5ff846b3.jpg

    Test fit it:
    IMG_5256_zps06d09d65_c493cc0fe60cb48e4ec7ece1033e704d9b5bfd9f.jpg

    IMG_5264_zps1bb3390b_742952622df2332d1788a7a8b7ff5c6778cb292d.jpg

Then got the plumbing fixtures checked out for fit:
    IMG_5265_zps58d46eaf_48ed458ee76c4e09534aaa00a8d0240ce39f8652.jpg

    IMG_5266_zps8220c4b7_033bec52f0e246aea125050254b04344cc12b1f5.jpg

Have to run by Lowe's and get some teflon tape. Then I'll finish plumbing it and be ready to do the electrical with SGT Taco.

I may have to revisit this install down the road. I was only able to use 3 of the 4 mounting bolts and bent the shit out of one of them. I'll probably take it back apart at some point, cut a notch in the leg of the bracket so I can slip the backing plate to the correct side of the bracket and use some washers to build up a flat surface to bolt it to. But the compressor is sitting flat on it and I'm counting it good until it falls apart.

Just have to do the electrical which includes running new switches in the dash.

Spent the afternoon with SGT Taco, working on the wiring.

We got the fuse block installed and wired up.

    IMG_5283_zps976f2fe8_a3fbe3dc6c8870bf5104be3a92b21c0a04703564.jpg

While we were at it, he checked out the compressor, getting it to air up. Seems that it is holding air just fine. Still have to check out if the locker actually locks. The cool thing is compressor compresses and the lights light. Left to be done is to finalize the light wiring then install all the switches in the dash.

AND the bracket for the compressor works great. Of course, the whole wheel well now vibrates when it kicks on but the bracket holds it all in there pretty solidly.

That's SGT Taco for ya. Puts all my OCD fears to rest.

Really thrilled how this turned out. I'm looking forward to finishing out the light wiring then running everything to the dashboard.

Kind of getting a little skeered that I'm running out of things to do.
