Which ones and how many should I use for a 3" lift, guess I'll be having to do some cutting to slap them in mine, so to be a progressive pack where in my pack should I put them?? They are 1/4" thick. When I make it back I'll just, hopefully, take out the center pin and take the three main leafs.

Stoked can't wait to make it back now!!!

Lets get our terminology corrected bro'...:) You only have 2 Main leafs driverside & pass. side & they're the ones with eyelets connecting the leafpack to frame...A progressive spring is thick in the center & tapers down thin to the leaf ends Ours are linear (same thickness end to end)

If your donors are progressive Then I'd strip them down & build off the main spring

Ya know, this isn't a slam on the Dakars but for the life of me I don't get the 2nd overload thing, but i have pulled that 2nd overload on a couple trucks & guys seem to like that better after its gone

But yeah its an easy fix to do while springs are off...

& no signs that they need an overload to compress on either...;)

Oops, I was picturing progressive as length, not thickness. The donors are linear as well then. I just have to cut them down to fit my pack accordingly. Think the bottom two leafs A and B can go into my leaf pack 1(eyelet OEM) -A(Chevy leaf closest to overload) - 2 (hook looking OEM) - B(Chevy leaf second up from overload) and remove the overload and achieve 3"? The end result would be 4 leafs total. Should I factor in the main leaf from the Chevy pack, go top to bottom or add leafs from the overload up? Is this more of a trial/error ordeal?

    Whaddya think, Doug?

    '93 F100

Funny, because the paint on the Ford leafs was a lot better than the Toyotas.. and the Fords were about 16 years older..

Threw some high temp. engine paint on them, going to diamond cut 'em tomorrow. Thinking I'll keep the two leafs in the Yota pack, and add two fords.
Those Toyota leafs that I'm adding to were off a low mile rig..

hahahahaha, I'll keep this simple. 2 leaf 1st gen, no tsb. Which leafs do you think I should add/remove with the whole thing and in what order should they be placed? I don't want an overload.

Those Fords have nice ARC, my first build were ford springs awesome results 2 per side will do nicely

I'd add 2 per side as well, you may need to add a 3rd but wait & see how much you gain & yeah dump the overload remember that you have eliptical springs meaning from center pin 1 end will be longer than the other, you'll want to cut 3.5" off each end of donors added but make sure you cut them sequentially:)

Okay Doug it looks like you're the local expert on refurbishing springs, heres one for ya. 09 Prerunner with an identity crisis, thinks it can rock crawl like a 4x4. My truck has 52,000 miles on her and i've been goin out to the desert a few times with it, this last i did was at Orriflame and Canyon Sin Nombre. I came back from that trip with my springs annoyingly squeaking like a mouse. Just TODAY i went out with my buddy to Pine Creek and got on a side trail and did some gnarly hill climbs, half way through i started hearing loud clunks from the rear. Got out of there and checked what was up and saw this:
    DSC03212_zpsa23c225c_a51d6f14c8cdc6972b7d115d46c7545750d32eca.jpg
    DSC03213_zpsa82c4b94_e772d7332bf5668835f092a2eb052b276d3a2e95.jpg
sooo, needless to say, gonna need some new springs.
    Whats my next move?
Can you pm me some prices on how much it would be for some refurbished springs? Thanks Doug

Ok non TSB stock leafs with 2nd broke to shit :eek: I'm building a set of bolt on 2nd gen springs that'll give approx 3" lift & increased load rate & since you have 5125's in rear no need to change
price will be $350.00 or $475.00 installed the other option is a spring kit which is usually $250.00 but since 1 leaf is broken I'd have to hit you with another $25 needing an extra leaf on each side...
