Question on Stock Rims

Been an owner for less than a week so still learning. I read through some other threads but want to confirm...

Just bought an 09 DCab 4x4 SR5 with stock 16" aluminum rims. Unfortunately they came with 245/75 R16 tires so I was looking to upgrade.

What is the width of these rims? 7" or 8"?

Also, will 265/75 fit on these? Reading the other threads it seems these are the largest you can get without rubbing or a lift.

What tires do you recommend for mainly on-road with light wheeling (relatively inexpensive)? As a fellow PA'r you know I also need something for the snow.

Bridgestone dueler revos, or nitto terra grapplers are the tires I am deciding between for my daily driver/weekend offroading vehicle

I choose the Dueler revos because they come with a 60K mile warranty, thery are great on the highway especially in wet weather and perform way better in offraod conditions than my old BFG AT tires did.
Haven't looked to much into Nitto but if more than 75% of your driving is on paved roads I would recomend the Revos.
As for MT tires, unless you like road noise and spending money on tires every 18 months, (Depending on how many miles you drive) I would stay away from them.

NOTE: I stand corrected, just checked on Firestone's website and they have a 50K mile warranty. Better than no warranty!!!

 

I'd say 70% on-road (60/40 city/highway). 5k-8k miles per year. This is not my daily driver, I have a company Dodge Charger (free gas) that I drive.

Would upgrading to a 265 void the warranty on the truck?

No, 265's come stock on TRD off-road and sport trucks. Adding aftermarket parts, bigger tires, etc. will not void your warranty. You could be denied a warranty claim if an aftermarket part lead to a failure, but Toyota would have to prove it.

 

I tell ya, this forum is significantly better than Nissan when I have my Path.

Any suggestions of how I can sell my basically brand new 245/75's? I have 70 Miles on the truck.
