does turning tires to black wall out count? How bout added snug top rebel.
I've got something rolling around also. I've got carpet, so I can't figure out what would be making like metal on metal rolling around. Just started this week. Interested to see what you come up with. I think it started after I had the truck services at the dealer.

Did you check your exhaust pipe see if something lose or came off and if you have a tow package see if everything tight, rub your engine see if you hear any noise metal to metal.

Maybe something under the center console, below the storage box?

Okay great, I'm not losing my mind.. I have the same damn thing in my access cab. Right behind the passenger seat as you described. Let me know if you find the source before I snap and throw my seat out the window. :goingcrazy:

i have some rattly ass shat going on with my 09 reg cab, metal twangy tiny light sound sometimes but there lots since this wknd, noticeable on roads that have small bumps but truck feels solid. seems to me to be under drivers front to mid to all of the middle of truck area potentially, didn't find anything loose on quick check. thought maybe front skid plate rattlying.. does that sound similar at all?

Yep, under the driver's side, the catalytic converter heat shield has a shitty clamp on the rear part. Mine literally snapped open enough to vibrate it's way towards the back of the truck until it reached a bend in the pipe that it couldn't go rearward anymore.

I looked and looked, checking other things and wasting my time and still having that tinny shitty rattle. I finally found it, I missed it because it had rusted and looked exactly like the pipes, camoflauged perfectly and it wasn't just hanging there, it was still fairly tight around the pipe.

Yes.. I've now decided that i THINK it is coming from something under the storage box. It sounds like it's coming from the middle rear of the truck, maybe slightly toward the passenger side. After messing around all last weekend I think it could be something UNDER the storage box in my middle console between the front seats.

    F word. Driving me insane.

Also. Rolling down windows does not make the sound any louder, so it might not be from outside, but not ruling that out, yet.

Rear seat belts are secured? That's the only noise mine makes.

I just remembered that in my 2004 Grand Cherokee that I bought used I'd hear this strange noise by the rear seat sometimes when I'd turn. Turns out that the previous owner's kid lost a Hotwheel through the seat and it was under there rolling left and right and slamming into stuff when I'd turn. It was way down in there and hard to find.

No where for that to happen on my truck. There's carpet under the seats too. So it wouldn't be hitting metal. It's confusing as shit, and highly annoying.

I'll check the heat shield tonight and see if that's the problem, otherwise I think I'm going to look up a guide to take apart my middle console storage box for this weekend.. fuhhh.

Its easy. Pull the cupholder if a 6 speed by firmly pulling upward. If its an auto, I think the panel in front of the storage box pulls off the same way. This will allow a look down under the console storage bin with a flashlight. To remove it, remove the two screws at the joint behind the shifter, remove the "carpet" from inside the storage bin by pulling it upward, and remove the two 10mm head bolts. Then lift the storage bin upward/rearward with light wiggling to release the tabs at the front. Assemble in reverse order taking care to align the front tabs into the knotches of the forward console. Its easier than it sounds, you could probably take it out and put it back in 15 minutes even if you have to google which way to turn the screws.

I had the same thing once. Couldn't figure out what the hell it was, till one day, I found an old dried up walnut in the bed.

Good luck, man. Strange, inexplicable noises are crazy in the making.
