Absolutely not. That truck will cost nearly 19K after taxes and fees and its 10 years old.

Look around, you should find comparable for not much more mileage in the $12-$14K range in the private side. Carmax is piracy, I dont know why people flock to them like sheep for the slaughter. I would be floored if Carmax gave more than $10-$11K on that truck for trade in.

None yet but soon all black.
Nice clean truck dude. But the price is super high. I have the same truck, same color and everything but mine is a 2004 and payed 11,900 and mine had 71k on the Mileage. So that is super high in my Opinion. I would go down some if you can. Good Luck

I agree with Moco. Carmax is always incredibly high on the "no haggle" price. I looked at cars there one time and walked.
    Good luck in your search!

Heck No! Check out what you need to be on the lookout for (frame rust, miles, engine issues, etc.) when searching private party sales ie. Craigslist, Little Nickel, etc. and go that route!

You'll more than likely save money and you won't be dealing with 2-legged snakes trying to swindle you into their neatly woven trap

Thanks guys! I check Carmax every now and then because they seem to get in some pretty clean, decent mileage trucks. This particular one had the frame check and it was good to go according to them. They also said taxes, fees, etc would be $350 on top of the $16,998:eek: I look on other sites but finding clean, low miles, and ones that aren't modified to hell and back is tough. Someone keeps buying these trucks because that one will be gone by the end of this week. I've even seen 3-4 owner trucks that have been in a wreck according to the Autocheck thing sell on there for stupid prices.

I live in Seattle, WA and it took me just about 2 MONTHS of searching Craigslist EVERY DAY -- EVERY 30 MINUTES. The best part is I was searching all of Washington, Idaho and Oregon along with Northern California and Western Montana.

You do find trucks, believe me... but that means you have to know what you're looking for and be quick on getting in contact with the owner because the un-modded, near stock trucks will sell in the snap of a finger.

    GOOD LUCK WITH LOOKING!!!

That's why I was trying to cheat and use Carmax.lol I figured they would be a little bit higher but I didn't realize they would be thousands higher! I figured if they were $500-$1,000 higher then normal, then yeah maybe but not paying damn 2-4,000 more! I check Craigslist just about everyday but so far I keep running into alot of Pre-runners, Tacoma's that are modded to hell and back, ones that aren't clean but still asking high prices, etc. Plus I figured with Carmax at least I'd get some sort of warranty and they'd be less likely to take in one with a crappy frame.

    No freakin way. Carmax sucks.
Its no haggle on high retail price ripoff bullshit.

    That thing is $11K tops.

I paid WAY less with WAY less miles for my 02' I just bought.
